September photo dump with life musings.

Life has been moving at the speed of light, so I'm trying to stop and dwell on the quiet moments of goodness: my cats being the cutest and best babies, my little brother being silly with his wife, Luna getting all the snuggles, a gorgeous sky while driving home, and the best local coffee while I work remote. ❤️

I'm still not ready for summer to be over, even though it is, because I struggle with the short winter days. I'm struggling with not already wishing this upcoming winter was over. On top of my natural disinclinstion toward the season God has put desires on my heart for some potential life changes that would happen next summer. While I'm trying to pursue those in faith, I also want to stay present and not wish away where I am right now.

So, I'll try to lean into fall, into community, and into a slower and more deliberate season - knowing that winter sleep and fallow ground are steps in the process of growth. by @backroad_acoustics

@denverartmuseum your textile/fashion exhibits were so thoughtfully put together.
Also bug shout out to the thousands of people who screamed along to Noah Kahan with me and my sis at Coors Stadium - the most cathartic concert experience I've ever had ♥️ by @backroad_acoustics

Wedding weekend for the little brother was a smashing success!

It was so good to be together with the whole family - unfortunately we're the worst at getting group pictures so we don't have one with everyone.

There's something incredibly bittersweet about watching your baby brother get married - but I couldn't be prouder of him, more excited to claim Mikenna as a sister, and so encouraged to see the community he is surrounded by standing up next to them both.

Feat. Rivers and Roads because the line "I guess it's just as well, but I miss your face like hell" comes the closest to capturing the feeling of living far away from the people you grew up with, but knowing that you're all exactly where you're meant to be. ❤️ by @backroad_acoustics

I paddled around on Jocassee this afternoon. The weather was perfect, the water was so cold, and I visited the tiny falls. So many of the coves in Jocassee feel like little fairy grottos and I love it. ❤️ by @backroad_acoustics

If you haven't been to Keowee-Toxaway, that's okay because I love that it's a hidden gem 😉
BUT if you have I totally get it, because it's the best and camping there last week was the best!

He is Risen ✨️

I'm so incredibly grateful that my Easter celebration this year included some of my dearest friends coming to see me get baptized!

I'm so grateful for the leading of the Holy Spirit bringing me to Redeemer City Church and for the conviction of the Spirit leading me to get baptized.

God used this passage 14 years ago to show my heart the perfect nature of His sacrifice and love for me. I'm so thankful for my God who is perfect in justice, love, and faithfulness to His children, like me, through periods of doubt and struggle.

1 Peter 1:18-19, 23 ESV
[18] knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, [19] but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.
[23] since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God;
