We’re so incredibly grateful for our hardworking farmers. 👩‍🌾🌱

Week after week, they make sure this beautiful, fresh produce makes its way from the farm to our community. Farming doesn’t come with a “call in sick” button — the food keeps growing, the harvest keeps coming, and that food needs to find its way to your tables.

We’re especially lucky here in Southern California to enjoy such an extended growing season. While other parts of the country are already cooling down and wrapping up their growing seasons, we’re still soaking up sunny days and enjoying incredible, locally grown, farm-fresh food. ☀️🥬🍅🍓

So when you shop the farmers market, remember there’s a whole lot of early mornings, dirty boots, long days, and hard work behind every beautiful bunch of produce.

Hit the Backroads this weekend and stop in to see what we have going on. Over 30 vendors. We are early morning so you beat the heat. There’s even lots of other stuff going on around us this Saturday. We can’t wait to see ya and send you on your way with armloads of great things.

Running a Certified Farmers Market in California is definitely not as simple as gathering some vendors, setting up tents, and calling it a day. 😂

There are permits, regulations, certifications, inspections, checklists… and sometimes checklists for the checklists. The county doesn’t always have an answer for us immediately and we often say “wait, am I allowed to do this” 👩‍🌾

That’s why we want to give a huge shoutout to Bronny B’s Neighborhood Market, aka the San Carlos Farmers Market, and their amazing manager, Becky. 💛

Becky started her market journey around the same time we did, and Jessica and I are so grateful for the friendship that’s grown along the way. We bounce ideas off each other, share vendors, compare notes, and help each other through those inevitable “Wait… what are we supposed to do now?!” moments. 😂

Of course we want you shopping with us — but we also believe wholeheartedly in community over competition.

So if you’re out and about on the 4th Sunday of the month, stop by the San Carlos Farmers Market, say hello to Becky and the gang, and show another wonderful local market some love. ❤️
