[ this is how you lose the time war (4 ★)
the ending of this book was a roller coaster!! it was so confusing but mesmerising at the same time. the writing includes extravagant romantic feelings and poetic allusions to go with the science fiction and time travel aspect. the second half is much better than the first. it was not binge-able for me, i had to reread lines & read through the lines but like i said it was mesmerising. never ever underestimating a short book. ]

i’ll try to make more annotating reels in the future <3 by @backtoficti0n

Tailored towards movies by, for and about trans people. ( including gender non-conforming, intersex people as well ) because they deserve to be heard and represented.

These are some recommendations for “the obsessed artist” trope which refers to an artist who strives to better themselves at their craft, but takes it to an obsessive level where they destroy themselves in their attempt to reach perfection.

˗ˏˋ the travelling cat chronicles ´ˎ˗

i fear, i have a problem with Japanese literature- the translation is always just too bland and simple. the stories, however, are always cozy and heartwarming or sometimes sad but cozy nonetheless.

The Travelling Cat Chronicles by Hiro Arikawa follows Nana, a sarcastic stray cat who gets adopted by a man named Satoru. When something forces Satoru to rehome Nana, they embark on a road trip across Japan to visit Satoru’s childhood friends, ultimately becoming a poignant farewell journey.

i definitely teared up towards the end because home is where the heart is and sometimes that heart is simply a cat’s and i could totally relate to how much Satoru loved Nana which made the story more impactful for sure. ;-;

thank you @gentlemoonpages for the recommendation :)<3

There’s something about autumn that feels like coming home — the soft light, the chill in the air, the comfort of slowing down. Maybe that’s why so many movies capture it so perfectly — the warmth of old friendships, the sound of rain, the magic in small moments.

Here are a few films that wrap you up in that same cozy feeling — perfect for crisp evenings and quiet nights in. 🍁✨
