🐦 DAY 25!! Someone PLEASE help a girl out! 😂🙋‍♀️❤️

Today was warm, I had the day off, and I spent ALL MORNING outside trying to make this happen! ☀️🌿 Still no bird on my hand, and I’m starting to wonder who’s training who here! 🤣

I’m not sure how many more days I’ll get to enjoy this weather and keep trying, so I’m giving it everything I’ve got! Maybe the secret is to just give up… and then they’ll finally come to me! 😂🐦

25 days of patience, peanuts, and being completely ignored by my backyard birds. But hey, God’s teaching me something about patience, right?! 🙏❤️

🐦 DAY 24 of trying to befriend my backyard birds! 😂🌿

Guys… I SWEAR they are laughing at me at this point!! 🤣🤣 I think they find it hilarious to be such little STINKERS! They know what I’m trying to do, and they are making me WORK for it! 😂

But I’m not giving up on these little feathered friends! ❤️ God sure made these little creatures entertaining, and I’m having the best time getting to know them, even if they’re making me look ridiculous in the process! 😂🙏🏻🐦

Guys!!! I discovered the coolest exotic pet store right down the street that I NEVER knew existed until my new love for birds! 🥹🐦

The Enclosure in Plum, PA, was my kind of place! I could have stayed there ALL DAY talking to these beautiful creatures! 😍 I was in my GLORY! ❤️

I even picked up a really yummy seed mixture they make right there in the store, with a great variety for my feathered friends! 🌻🪶 Maybe THIS will be the secret ingredient that finally gets one of these little beauties to land on my hand! 🤞😂 Now let’s see if my new birdie buffet makes a difference! 😂🐦 Will today be the day?! Stay tuned!

🐦❤️ Day 23 of Becoming One with the Birds! 🌿

Today we tried the porch, ventured up into the woods, AND brought out a new bag of bird seed that I KNOW they love because they’ve gone through it before! 😂🐦

I’m pulling out all the stops, friends! The chickadees, tufted titmice, cardinals, and blue jays are keeping me on my toes! ❤️

Still no bird on my hand… YET! 😉

But I’m learning that God’s little blessings don’t always come on our timeline. Sometimes the beauty is in showing up, being patient, and enjoying the journey. 🙏

One day at a time, one seed at a time… and maybe one day, one bird on my hand! 😂🐦

🐦 DAY 22!! 🐦

Okay, friends… 😂❤️ I REALLY thought tonight might be THE night!!

I decided it was time to take things to the next level and become ONE with the birds. 🤣🌿 So I headed right into the woods in my backyard, and you guys… I GOT SOOOOO CLOSE!! 👀🐦

But the big question remains… DID IT HAPPEN?! 😱😍

With cardinals, Carolina chickadees, tufted titmice, AND blue jays all hanging around, who is going to be the first brave soul to take this next step with me?! 🥹❤️

You guys have been so invested in this journey, sharing your guesses, advice, and encouragement, and I LOVE every minute of it!! 🥰

Today I heard CARDINALS singing like crazy! 😍❤️ And if you’ve been following along, you know how special cardinals are to me. Seeing one be the first brave soul to come to me would be such an incredible moment! 🥹

🐦 DAY 20: The Great Bird Feeder Standoff! 😂

I had a plan… a strategy… a moment of questionable confidence. 🤣

I decided to take ALL the feeders away so the birds would have to come to ME! 🙌🏼

Well… at first, they sat up in the tree mocking me from a distance. 😂🌳 And then? NOTHING. Not a bird in sight!

Apparently, these little guys are smarter than I thought, and today they wanted absolutely nothing to do with my plan! 🤣

But that’s OK! Every day is a new adventure, and I’m not giving up! ❤️

Maybe God is teaching me a little patience through these tiny, feathered teachers. Not everything happens on MY timeline! 🙏🏼🐦

Day 20 is in the books… and the birds are winning! 😂

🐦 DAY 19… ARE WE GETTING CLOSER?! 👀❤️

I heard those Carolina chickadees calling, and I knew I had to seize the opportunity! 🙌 So I switched things up, changed my strategy, and headed over to the feeder by the tree. Sometimes you have to follow the opportunity instead of waiting for it to come to you! 🌳🐦

But now I need YOUR help! We’re getting deeper into this little adventure, and I have some decisions to make! 🤔

DAY 18 🐦💙 — THEY’RE GETTING CURIOUS!

Okay… THIS was so cute!! 🥹💙

I had my hoodie up, held the birdfeeder right on the railing, and waited to see what would happen. And guess who came REALLY close to my phone camera?! 👀

A BLUE JAY!! 💙🐦

He even hopped onto the feeder I was holding! And then a little chickadee came by too. 🥹

I’m starting to think these birds are getting more and more curious about me… and maybe holding the feeder in my arms could be the trick!

I’m having SO much fun with this little challenge. Every day is different, and I honestly never know who is going to show up. ❤️

Day 18… we’re getting closer!! 🐦✨

Bird of the Week: The Blue Jay…aka Baby Blue! 💙🐦

Meet my newest daily visitor, Baby Blue! 💙

Blue Jays have quickly become regulars at my new bird feeder, and I’ve learned that they absolutely LOVE raw, shelled peanuts! 🥜 They are also MASSIVE compared to many of the other birds that visit my yard, and their loud, unmistakable call makes sure you know when they’re around!

But the more I learn about these beautiful birds, the more I’m reminded of how uniquely God created every creature.

Blue Jays are incredibly alert and observant. They can recognize potential danger and respond to alarm calls from other birds, and they’re known to become more watchful when weather conditions are changing. God gave them instincts that help them recognize their surroundings and protect themselves.

And it got me thinking…

Every bird that visits my yard is different. The chickadees, titmice, cardinals, finches, and now my Blue Jays all have different sizes, sounds, personalities, and purposes.

Just like us. ❤️

God didn’t make us all the same. We each have different gifts, different strengths, and a different part to play. And just like my backyard wouldn’t be the same without every one of these birds, our families, communities, and society wouldn’t be the same without each person God placed in them.

There is a place for every one of us.

So here’s to Baby Blue and all the little reminders God sends us right outside our windows. 💙🐦

Day 1 BILLION of trying to get a bird to land on my hand, my head, my arm…or honestly ANYTHING close to me! 😂🐦

In today’s episode, the Blue Jays were EVERYWHERE! They especially love showing up the second I go back inside for a minute. 😂 I also had some Tufted Titmice and a couple Carolina Chickadees watching the whole thing unfold.

I even put my hood up and put food on top of my head and on my arms. 😂 The birds were definitely curious—they kept watching from the nearby feeder, flying around me, and making plenty of fly-bys…just not landing on ME!

I even moved over to another feeder by the tree and watched the Blue Jays fly right back to the porch to steal a peanut. 🤣🥜

So, my bird friends…WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?! 😂

I need your advice! What should I try next? Because I have a feeling this is going to happen…ANY DAY NOW! 🐦❤️
