This was a lovely book! Adventurous and exciting fast paced read. Cori starts off with the worst luck but along the way and with the help of her granny, she really grows and changes.

Princes, Pirates, and mercenaries! Cori has to learn to navigate them all! There really was never a dull moment. I can’t wait for more people to experience this book. The only downside for me was I kept hoping for some romance. I think the overall message is more about self discovery so not needed but just something I would have wanted. by @backyardbookdragon

Thank you to the Nerd Fam for the gifted e-book copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Interesting story with complex mythology but left me wondering if I missed something. It had all the tropes that I enjoy but perhaps for me it just didn’t come together in a way that I was hoping. #themortaltrials #thenerdfam @thenerdfam by @backyardbookdragon

Thank you @emjustreading for doing a giveaway and sending me this ARC copy of Kiss of the black flame. Now I get to read this a full month early, and I’m so excited! I took a bookbinding/fibers class in college and while it’s been awhile, it was a very fun class. I very much appreciate the work that goes into making books.📚❤️ by @backyardbookdragon

Beauty and the beast but make it vampires! It’s a fun read. Very golden retriever and black cat but add in the manners of an old timey prince. All of the characters were unique and the story flows well.

I think this would work really well for a palette cleanser after a long series. The plot was easy to follow so nothing too complex. The romance was what kept me reading tho. It’s definitely enemies to lovers at the core. (Very low on the spice tho.) Also, I have to admit while excited to read it, I’m also aiming for the Camp NetGalley badge. 😅 by @backyardbookdragon

Spicy Summer Rom-Com beach read! Yes, it’s all the things you’re looking for in a beach read. I loved the characters and their connection. Duel point of view gives you a good look inside what’s going on. Nothing too complicated, just a fun read with a few twists to keep you captivated. by @backyardbookdragon
