Another week of apprenticeship training in the books! 👏 This week, we were honored to welcome manufacturer representatives who shared valuable insights into their products and the techniques for using them effectively.

Working alongside manufacturers connects classroom instruction with the materials and methods our apprentices will use on the job. Learning directly from product experts helps them understand not just how to use a product, but why proper preparation and application matter for quality, safety, and lasting results.

Thank you to our manufacturing partners for investing their time and expertise in the next generation of skilled tradespeople! 🧱💪

As bricklayers and stone masons, we don’t just build structures. We build landmarks, communities, and legacies.

From schools and stadiums to bridges, fireplaces, storefronts, and city skylines, our work becomes part of everyday life for generations to come.

There’s a deep sense of pride that comes from pointing to a finished project and saying, “I helped build that.” Every brick laid and every stone set represents skill, precision, teamwork, and hard work that can stand strong for decades.

In a world where so much work happens behind screens, these #SkilledTrades give you the opportunity to create something real with your own hands.

If you’re looking for a career with purpose, craftsmanship, strong pay, and the satisfaction of building something that lasts, bricklaying and stone masonry could be the path for you.

What a day for the bricklaying trade in Pittsburgh! 🧱

The recently completed SPEC MIX BRICKLAYER 500 gave BAC Local 9 members a chance to put their speed, precision and craftsmanship on full display. We’re proud of every member who stepped up and showed what it takes to excel at this trade.

It was especially exciting to welcome students from across the area. They got to experience bricklaying in a fun, high-energy setting and see the skill and opportunity behind a career in the trades.

Thank you to everyone who competed, cheered and helped introduce the next generation to bricklaying. The future looks bright!
