I might as well make a new post since pornbots keep liking my last post about my cat dying which is annoying as hell. But the last bring your own vinyl night was fun. Got to hang out at @golittlegiant and spin some records, hear other people’s jams, chat about Isabella Lovestory, and enjoy music and friends. I played an @emminreallife song and then realized she recorded a whole performance at the venue?? So that was fun lol. (Madonna song is the BT & Sasha’s Bucklodge Ashram New Edit) by @baconshoes

My dearest, most beloved Chester had to be put to sleep yesterday morning because he was having kidney failure. I tried to move heaven and earth to save him, but it wasn’t enough. I would highly encourage every pet owner to talk to your vet about what flea preventions options are best, as we gave him his monthly medicine like we always do, but this time it led to him having acute kidney failure that he did not survive. Some of these products really are not safe for cats, but they are still on the market. I wish I knew so much before this happened. I am processing so much guilt and sadness, as this was my baby I was supposed to protect and he is gone way too soon.

Anyone who ever met him knows what a special little baby this was. He had more personality and love and affection and goofiness than I’ve ever seen in a cat. I could always hear him meowing when i got to the front door, excited that I was arriving home. He had fans from all over the world who would see him in our video chats as he joined us for Jackbox games, Doctor Who watchings, popheads rate reveals, or whatever. He always wanted to be involved in anything I did. He showed me so much love when I felt loveless, and gave me a reason to live every day when I was at my lowest. He was such a blessing in my life, and I truly believe he saved my life. It hurts so much that I wasn’t able to save his.

But I want to focus on the good times we had. All the times he made me smile or laugh, all the times he came and sat on my lap when I was crying. He made sure I was never alone, constantly following me around. He just loved me more than anyone ever has, and he was my entire world. He was my precious baby.

My partner’s mother agreed to have Chester buried in their backyard. I always thought graves were a waste of space, but it actually brings me some comfort that he will be buried under a special garden, Chester’s garden, that I can visit whenever I need to.

I am just so lucky to have spent so many years with such a special, loving baby that cannot be compared to any other animal or person I’ve ever met. And i’m lucky there is so much love in my life to get me through this. Goodbye, my baby. 💔 😢 by @baconshoes

I can’t believe I got to see Justice live 🥹🥹🥹 this is the music that raised me, y’all!! I’ve regretted for years that I didn’t see them when they toured for †, so I feel so lucky that they came here on tour. The live set they did for this tour was INCREDIBLE, and so was the stage and light setup that pulsed and morphed along to the music. Everyone in the crowd was dancing and having a great time, and the t-shirts they prepared specifically for each show were so cute. At the end of their encore, they even went into the crowd to meet fans. It was just good vibes all around such a bucket list moment that i’ll never forget 🥰🥰 taken in Stage AE by @baconshoes

The Kraftwerk MULTIMEDIA experience was so goofy and fun. They started exactly at 8 with their song Numbers where they count from 1 to 8, and continued with silly visuals of them traveling in a spaceship and landing right in front of Stage AE. They silently left after almost 2 hours of playing, and then silently returned after a round of applause to do an encore with a few more songs. I have loved electronic music for a very long time, so it was cool to see a band that was so influential to the music artists I listen to. My last.fm stats for 2024! Pop culture finally caught up to Charli XCX and Tinashe, and Kylie will always be my queen 🥰 I can’t wait to see what music 2025 has in store. I’m already excited for new projects from Rose Gray, Rebecca Black, RuPaul, Shygirl, FKA Twigs, and Ethel Cain in early 2025! by @baconshoes

I can’t believe I managed to get a copy of the new Kylie album Tension II with a signed print! She’s been one of my all time favorite pop stars for a long time, and I love that she is still releasing dance pop bangers. I’m so excited to see her live again next year! by @baconshoes

I also got to see @loossemble.official ! I was so happy they came to Pittsburgh and we didn’t have to travel far this time. They taught us all their TTYL dance and read off some notes from the fans. Their choreographed dances were so fun and everyone in the crowd was so excited. Hopefully kpop shows continue to come here! taken in Roxian Theatre by @baconshoes

Another show i got to see recently was @crepegirl with @theaces . All the homosexuals were out and they sounded fantastic live. The crowd was hype and we even got to hear their new song The Magic before it was released! I’ve been a fan of The Aces since their first album, so it was great to finally see them at a fun venue taken in Spirit by @baconshoes

It was a while ago, but I also got to catch a flight to Gag City to see Nicki Minaj with Bia and Skillibeng, which was a very fun time. She played for so long and it’s crazy what an extensive catalog she has at this point. All the barbs were out, and the different outfits and sets were cute, with of course little doll boxes with different labels of Nicki’s alter egos. Some girls were very excited about my wig by @baconshoes

Last night I saw @dawnrichard and @spencerzahn at the Andy Warhol museum with @josephshabason as the opener, who also performed some songs with them, including a beautiful cover of No Ordinary Love by Sade. It was just a wonderful show. Joseph played saxophone parts and looped them to build a gorgeous atmosphere, I was so excited to see Dawn and Spencer as I have been a huge Dawn Richard fan since the Danity Kane days, and their albums together as a duo have been awesome and emotionally profound. Dawn is always doing something different with her music and forming her own lane, and working with ambient jazz instrumentation really emphasizes the power behind her lyrics about loss and love and family and life. Dawn’s voice sounded spectacular with Spencer’s instrumentation, and at the end I got to meet all three of them and Dawn even gave me a hug. They were all so incredibly sweet and talented. One of the highlights of the trip was a drag show we saw in Chueca featuring @dilailacardone who was hilarious and friendly. Everyone in the audience came from different countries and she made us all feel at home. She even performed La Gata Bajo La Lluvia for us because it was a Spanish song we knew and loved. 🐈 🌧️ We were so glad we stayed out late instead of going home since we were pretty tired. taken in Black&White by La Plexy by @baconshoes

While in Madrid, we went to Chueca, a very gay-friendly neighborhood. We had some delicious tintos de verano, croquetas, and huevos rotos con morcilla y jamón. We finished off with some interestingly-shaped desserts. One thing I noticed that was different in Madrid from here is that they are actually allowed to go on vacation for long periods of time, so many businesses will close for a bit during the summer so they can go on holiday. Because of this, many businesses have shutters that close, often with fun paintings on them. 🌈 taken in Chueca (Madrid Metro) by @baconshoes
