A couple of cool cats chasing automotive project purrrfection! In house fabrication, calibration, 3D scanning and CAD! JDM specialists 🐈‍⬛👨‍🏭💻🏎️

The cats have a new toy...

We use 3d scanning nearly every day while designing parts for cars in the shop. I have been through several upgrades during my experience with scanning, but this one takes the cake. It works so well that it will surely save many hours in our engineering workflow, and it will allow us to continue to push the boundaries with our designs because of the accurate measurement data to work from.

What should we design next??

Eveyone loves the NSX, but by today's standards this 90s supercar isn't so super. Adding a bit of boost to it certainly spices things up, check out this walk around and the howl of it on the dyno! Nothing quite sounds like a turbocharged C30! #badcatengineering #acura #nsx #boost #turbo by @badcatengineering

Brought home my 4th trophy this year even tho my car was down for 3 months! It was well worth it because people can’t help but stop and ask how it’s possible to 3D print with steel! The brilliant minds at @badcatengineering and @blackboxtuning made it happen.
So beyond grateful for the people who voted for me and @eastwoodpasadena for hosting the event!
Made a friend with a smaller car than mine who also won a trophy and met lots of great people. See you next year maybe? It’s a definite!

Dan's EVO5 Returns! Following an unfortunate unplanned engine disassembly we got his car back up and running last year. Back for some lookovers and a few minor repairs it'll be back out on the track soon! #evolution #mitsubishi #badcatengineering #4g63 by @badcatengineering

My inbox blowing up since I promised content so heres my first solo test drive. Low-end power ✅ Boosty Noises ✅ Room to grow, absolutely! ✅
@badcatengineering and @blackboxtuning did their thing on my S2000 and it feels awakened, ready to go in any gear instead of dropping 2 gears to get out of its own way. 10/10 no notes. Great work!

The feeling inside of seeing it all come together but no idea what all it does yet. The final look won’t come till after it’s actually done so enjoy this last pic in its raw form!

Happy birthday Bad Cat Engineering!

We are grateful to be celebrating 4 years in business today. And truthfully Carl and I both forgot because we are so busy!

Thank you to all the friends and customers that have been along for this ride. The pure joy of creating things and witnessing people experience their automotive dreams unfold are huge reasons why we push through the challenges of business ownership and continue down this path.

There are surely many ups and downs to come, but the cats are here to stay.

Meow!

Kitty cat rocket ship?

The cats have been a part of many revisions on this turbo s2000 and this one is by far the greatest.

We are super impressed with the performance of this @xonarotor XRE7169S. The response and performance from this unit is the main reason this car is so driveable even while making 850hp!

And as always the @emtronworld KV8 is working behind the scenes to make this setup run extremely well. We always outfit a full sensor suite when installing ECU's, and it allows us to accurately diagnose limitations in the setup, and safely push the car within its limits.

The Cats are hard at work on this custom-designed in-house build for my 2001 Honda S2000. Maybe a treat dispenser?
