“The most disrespected person in America is the black woman. The most unprotected person in America is the black woman. The most neglected person in America is the black woman.” My heart hurts so bad right now. I have this weird feeling like I knew her. This needs to stop. Black woman have been going missing and sex trafficked for years now and no one is talking about it. I am so sick and tired of black woman being treated like we’re not human. We are over-sexualized and undervalued. And black men know this is true and constantly turn a blind eye to our struggles. One black man that targeted only black women for sex trafficking stated his reasoning as “no one would notice if they disappeared.” “They were viewed as somehow less human, less valuable.” Dear black men, we show y’all all this love but get none in return. When are y’all gonna love us like you love your mothers. If we are always fighting for you who’s gonna fight for us? Open your eyes.
