🌊 „The way of water has no beginning and no end.
Our hearts beat in the womb of the world.
The sea is your home — before your birth and after your death.
The sea gives and the sea takes.
Water connects all things: life to death, darkness to light.”

We come from darkness.

The bellybutton — the most vulnerable and beautiful part of the body , for me— is our first and only connection to the Source.

In the material world it seems broken, cut at birth, when separation appears. But it is only an illusion.
When I look into your eyes, I see darkness. Emptiness.
A beautiful rabbit hole — the place where anything can be born.

There is pain, and there is joy. They exist only together, for they are one.

No splitting. No black nor white. All colors in one.
So much beauty when I look into the waves and see the rainbow.

Just as when you and I were born — it was celebrated with happiness despite the pain.

Life as a celebration. #35mm #kaliningrad2025 #filmisnotdead by @badmemorygood

•Tulum was previously known as Zama, meaning the City of Dawn

•This site was inhabited as early as 6th century

•It had major historical importance as a center of trading, being both on a sea and land route taken in Tulúm, Quintana Roo, México by @badmemorygood

In the studio of Nadezhda Likhogrud, 2020, Moscow

Likhogrud is an artist and ceramicist whose series "The Children’s 1990s. Home and Yard” is a nostalgic look at the artist’s early years. She recreates images and scenes from the childhood spent in the streets of early post-Soviet Russia.

Water is life

“Water covers more than 70 % of Earth’s surface. It was in water that life on Earth started, so it is not surprising that all living things on our blue planet need water. Water is in fact many things: it is a vital need, a home, a local and global resource, a transport corridor and a climate regulator. And, over the last two centuries, it has become the end of the journey for many pollutants released to nature and a newly discovered mine rich in minerals to be exploited. To continue enjoying the benefits of clean water and healthy oceans and rivers, we need to change the way we use water”

🍀A studio visit to fantastic Perla Krauze in Mexico City during @zonamaco 2022. For the next year trip contact @yuliamoscow

🍀Perla Krauze (Mexico City, 1953)

is a Mexican sculptor, painter working with various materials and media. Her work deals with time, memory, nature and dualities. Issues as materiality in an object expressing the ephemeral and the permanent, the archaeological, collections and cabinets, relationships between objects in space and lately habitable sculptures and installations within space, working with discarded materials, fragments of stones, or lead and water. Interested in the contemplative, the silent, the overlooked and how to make it somehow visible. She works with various materials, stones, lead, resin, water, clay, aluminum. Stone became for her a fundamental strong material, with memory and endurability, still can be transformed and erode.
