•How does the meme go … “Little do my friends know they’re healing me EVERY TIME we hang out !” Mastering the art of time is 1 of the more difficult parts about friendships as I get older. Healing isn’t just head down, journaling, going to therapy, crying etc … it’s also joyful experiences. When you see me out, smiling more, sharing time, laughing … just know I’m trying to really love up on myself, move through grief, fix / get back to my tribe & get all the joy I am deserving of. ✨ by @badonesasha

This is how I know MY God doesn’t play about me. This is how I know MY God hears me! Whenever I slow down, even just a tiny bit, by choice, but often bc of burnout/disobedience (meaning I know I need to slow down, I know I need to REST, I know I’m at my wits end, I know I need to say “No” etc.) but whenever I slow down, go into my spiritual self, I NEVER come up short handed. I always get reassurance/validation in the thing I’m struggling w/ or looking for clarity on.

I’ve been struggling to find the joy in my life lately. Struggling to receive joy, honor & hold space for joy.
YO … REST is MY JOY. REST IS MY SOFT LIFE. REST SHOULD NOT BE A LUXURY. Yet I realize, I made it that. I realize I run from rest bc my stillness is too loud these days. I remember, think & feel feelings that I dnt wanna feel, or I thought I was over. (Grief is the straw that can make it all crumble) Then on the flip side, rest brings calm & I experience genuine connection w/ my loved ones. I can laugh. I can accept being treated softly. It’s the time I create the memories that will be responsible for expanding my hopefulness. Rest allows me to really see ME & give back to ME.

I remember when juggling /grinding/ always showing up no matter my emotional state was VITAL. It was connected to my self worth. It’s still important, but I do a TERRIBLE job at it these days. (& yes I’m unpacking ALL of it … again) imagine me thinking I was resting & practicing self care, only to realize it was “make believe”. Well I don’t wanna juggle. I don’t wanna pretend self care anymore. I don’t want to continue to sacrifice myself / my joy. I want BALANCE. BRO NONE OF IT IS POSSIBLE W/O “A RHYTHM OF REST.” I am promising to choose rest. To better understand its importance in my life, & make space & time for it. This message is a TRUE 💎. •We not playing small in 2022 ! Protect your peace, interact with those who match your love, energy & vibe. Do not go back to places, people & things you once prayed to get away from ! Make time for yourself & the people you love & those who love you BACK ! Take time off, call out bc these jobs don’t give a fuckkkkk about you ! Laugh … a lot! Don’t be so serious, frowns give you wrinkles. Put God in ALL that you do. Invest in yourself & keep that same energy 💫 by @badonesasha

Other ppl will go on w/ their lives like nothing ever happened, but my life will FOREVER be changed. On 9/15 we celebrated my moms bday & on 9/16 we laid my gma to rest. Today we celebrate my brother’s bday. These last 8-9 days have been a roller coaster but I’m thankful for my tribe which includes friends & loved ones near & far. My gma saved my life, she was & is still my JOY. I am who i am because of her. I am so thankful to have had 32 yrs on earth with my queen. When I manifested being present w/ family,friends & loved ones, never did I imagine it would be in this way. My gma was/is the definition of selflessness & love. I know in my heart she will forever continue to guide me & be w/ me. My gma was / is a REAL one. Best believe 1 thing for sure, 2 things for CERTAIN, I don’t & will NEVER play about her or any of the ppl in my tribe. If you gonna EVER step up about ANY of my loved ones, come correct bc I want ALL THE SMOKE ! ❤️💜😔☺️ by @badonesasha
