7 years later……Seven years ago, I stopped running. Not because I was ready, but because I was done. There wasn’t some dramatic moment or grand realization just a quiet, heavy silence and the crushing weight of everything I could no longer carry.I didn’t want to celebrate or talk. I wanted to be still, to sit in the quiet, to breathe, and try to remember what it felt like to be whole. Those first days were heavy. The nights, heavier. I stayed home and let the world spin on without me while I worked to untangle everything inside of me.Sobriety wasn’t a clean break. It felt more like a thousand small deaths and just as many small rebirths. Every day was a lesson in living without hiding. Some people reached out and offered their support, and when I could, I accepted it. But the real work, the raw, painful work, was mine alone.I cried. I screamed. Sometimes into pillows, sometimes silently, just beneath my ribs. But every day, I stayed. Every morning, I chose to stay.Now, seven years later, I don’t forget where I’ve been, but I no longer live there. I speak with a voice that no longer shakes. I stand with legs that no longer sway. I move forward, not away.I’m not saying everything is perfect now. I still have hard days, but they don’t break me like they used to. I’ve come a long way, and I don’t take that for granted. This isn’t about a finish line or pretending I’ve got it all figured out. It’s just real. I’ve done the work. I’m still doing it. And I’m still here.7 years later, sober, healthy mentally and physically and grateful for it. I know Iv been quiet on here lately, and I’m sorry for that. I have so much music to release and I will I promise. I’m honestly just taking my time. Finding my way, at my pace. Trying to focus on enjoying my life. I hope you all can understand. Special thanks to my wife and my family for being with me through it all and giving me a reason to be the best version of myself ever day. Just wanted to take a moment to say happy thanksgiving and thank you to everyone for being so patient with me. Although I haven’t released much music, played many shows, or posted much on social media. Out of any year past, I am most thankful for this one. I’m thankful for my wife who just happens to be my best friend, my family, my puppers, and my friends and those who continue to support me. Although I haven’t posted much and have been focusing on myself, my health, and my wedding….i now have a stack of unreleased tunes that I’m itching to do something with 👀 who knows 2025 is closer than we think. How bittersweet it is to return home from what is without a doubt the best few weeks of my life. Surrounded by our closest friends and family. To be able to share it with my best friend was truly something special. Over the past few years Iv come to learn that love isn’t just about the grand gestures or the perfect moments. It’s about the quiet ones, the everyday ones. It’s about knowing that no matter what life throws our way, we will face it together.
