A contemporary art foundation dedicated to supporting artistic practices and fostering social impact.
Founded on the legacy of Badr El Jundi Gallery.

Badr El Jundi Foundation marks a shift — not away from exhibition-making, but towards a broader responsibility.

What began as a gallery has evolved into a platform where artistic practice intersects with social engagement and environmental awareness. The focus extends beyond presentation, into the conditions that sustain both artists and communities.

Through collaborations with local initiatives — including work with children and orphanages — the foundation expands the role of art as a tool for connection, care, and shared experience.

A quieter form of visibility takes shape: one that nurtures processes, supports long-term development, and remains attentive to its ecological footprint.

From hosting exhibitions to building ecosystems. From space to responsibility.

Follow us for coming updates.

Lola Zoido x @lakecomodesignfestival

The Badr El Jundi Foundation presented the work “Untitled (L·01)” by Lola Zoido at the Lake Como Festival. The piece is a sculptural lamp that extends the artist’s practice into the realm of functional objects. It stems from an exploration of how digital images, memories, and visual fragments from the artist’s personal archive can transition from the screen into a physical, tactile, and luminous form.

Visiting museums is an essential part of our curatorial research.

Our visit to Kunstmuseum Basel offered the opportunity to experience dialogues between architecture, collection, and exhibition design—encounters that continue to inform our understanding of artistic practice and institutional discourse.
Every exhibition is an invitation to look more closely, ask new questions, and keep learning.

Last week we had the pleasure of welcoming Maria Gracia de Pedro @mariagraciadepedro from the Badr el Jundi Foundation @badreljundigallery and a group of art enthusiasts for a visit to Salemi and our three studios.

This year, the Badr el Jundi Foundation awarded complementary funding to one of our resident artists, Katy Stubbs @katy.stubbs - so we took the opportunity to bring everyone together in person: to see Katy’s work up close and explore possible future collaborations.

Swipe to see moments from the visit and what Katy’s been working on during her first week of residency 🕊️🔪👢

During our visit to Palazzo Butera in Palermo, we explored the remarkable collection assembled by Francesca and Massimo Valsecchi. Built over decades since the late 1960s, the collection reflects a deeply personal journey through art history, bringing together contemporary works, decorative arts, Old Masters, and antiques. Housed within one of Palermo’s most significant historic palaces, the collection creates a dialogue across periods, cultures, and artistic traditions, offering visitors a unique perspective on the enduring connections between past and present.

Ryan Schneider’s first solo exhibition in Spain, Murmuración, arrives at La Térmica. Pure matter and memory.

After a two-month residency in Málaga, the American artist presents a body of work conceived entirely during his stay—a direct dialogue with materials and the production space. In his hands, wood, stone, bronze, and gold leaf become archetypal, angular, sharp forms that evoke both the raw force of nature and a deep, prehistoric spirituality.

His connection to the Mojave Desert ecosystem, where he lives, infuses every piece with mythology and mysticism.

Badr El Jundi Foundation recommends.

Opening: Thursday, June 4, 8 PM
Dates: June 4 – September 13, 2026

Matthew Eguavoen is currently featured in 𝘓𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘙𝘢𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘜𝘴, a group exhibition on view at Mitochondria Gallery in Houston through May 30. The exhibition examines how territory, memory, and our relationship to land inform constructions of male identity — positioning landscape not as backdrop, but as an active emotional and cultural force.

The Nigerian artist previously collaborated with Badr El Jundi Foundation in the 2021 group exhibition 𝘐𝘵’𝘴 𝘕𝘰𝘵 𝘑𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘢 𝘗𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘵 and again in 2022 as part of a charity auction supporting Ukraine. Witnessing the continued evolution of his practice within an increasingly dynamic international context has been especially meaningful.

𝘈𝘶𝘳𝘶 (Raquel Algaba, 2024) is one of the works that enrich the Badr El Jundi Foundation’s collection. The Sevilla-based artist unfolds a world of hybrid figures—between the human and the divine—to reflect on desire, memory, and identity from decolonial perspectives.

With references ranging from Egyptian cosmology to Greek heroes, her work reminds us that art can be a bridge between cultures and a tool for social transformation.

Argentine artist Pilar Zeta works with sacred geometries and universal symbols to create objects that transcend their materiality. Her installation in the gardens of San Clemente Palace in Venice, produced by Marmonil, engages with the natural environment through essential and timeless forms.

Three works in Egyptian marble comprise the intervention: Mirror Gate II, Egg of Breccia Fawakir, and Egg of Red Aswan Granite. Each functions as a symbolic portal, an invitation to pause before what cannot be explained with words.

Zeta’s work explores spiritual dimensions through a stripped-down visual language, where pure form becomes a vehicle for meaning.

The project took place during the Venice Biennale, inserting itself into the city’s tradition as a meeting ground between contemporary art and history. San Clemente Palace, with its gardens and island location, offers a setting where sculpture inhabits the landscape without imposing itself.

Tres obras en mármol egipcio conforman la intervención: Mirror Gate II, Egg of Breccia Fawakir y Egg of Red Aswan Granite.
