POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Some days I get to work on my own gear.

I got those old ADM preamps, they originally came from a console that lived in the @sbs_australia sound department. They were built in 1980, I’ll post more about these later on.

I’m tweaking the input stage of this @marshallamps ST20H. One channel will be the original JTM45 it was modelled on and the other channel will be more like a Plexi. taken in Glebe Point Rd by @badseed_repairs

This 25-second reel sums up around four hours of work on this Hohner Pianet T restoration.
I pulled it apart, cleaned the rust and grime from the reeds, removed and tuned every key, adjusted the pickups, replaced the output socket and put it all back together.
They never tell you how long some of these jobs take. So much unscrewing, filing, checking, tuning… and restraint. Tiny adjustments make a big difference.
Back together, working properly and sounding great.
