To be recognized in an international news article all the way in the UK is something I don’t take lightly. 🥹🇬🇧✨ Coming from where I came from, carrying every lesson, every setback, every prayer, and every dream with me… this moment feels bigger than just me. It feels like proof that GOD will open doors no man can shut.

What makes this moment even more special is being able to say the names of incredible people like @missjaleh , @slayedbymissjaleh , and @chrislovelindor @boujiecreationsbychrislove in rooms and places we may have never stepped into before. 🤍 As women, we HAVE to stop thinking there’s only one seat at the table. There is enough room for all of us to win, grow, create, heal, and thrive. Real power is putting your sister’s name in conversations that can change her life. Real love is helping each other rise instead of competing in silence.

I never want success without purpose. If GOD blesses me with access, opportunities, and visibility, I want to use it to uplift the people around me too. Watching your friends shine should never make you dim your own light. We shine brighter together. 🌟

Getting published on my birthday feels like a blessing and a reminder that none of the blood, sweat, tears, sacrifices, or late nights were for nothing. 🙏🏽🎂

I kept creating even when my material was copied, imitated, and used without credit. But one thing I learned: you can have the whole recipe and the sauce STILL won’t taste the same. 💅🏽 You can imitate a persona, but you can’t duplicate the real-life experiences that created it.

My stories come from things I’ve actually lived, survived, learned from, and turned into art. So to finally receive recognition for my work, and on my birthday at that, hits different. 🥹🎬

GOD’S timing. My story. My sauce. My season. 🥂✨

If they were mad about how good I looked in high school, I KNOW they’re somewhere punching the air like Tre (Cuba Gooding Jr.) in Boyz n the Hood every time I post now. 😭👊🏾😂

Meanwhile, I’m over here with no makeup, no need for validation. Just water, a healthy lifestyle, peace, and minding the business that pays me. 💧✨

Turns out aging gracefully is mostly hydration, boundaries, and staying out of foolishness. 😂

I like being transparent with y’all because social media can make everything look a little too perfect. 😂 Between heavy Photoshop, filters, professional lighting, and full glam, sometimes we forget that simplicity is beautiful too. To each their own, but I personally want you guys to see the process, not just the polished result. 🤎

This BTS video was literally my run-through before the photos you saw today. No crisp studio lighting. No full face. Just me practicing my poses, angles, expressions, and figuring out what worked before it was time to shoot. 📸

And there’s actually a reason I do it this way: I hate sitting in makeup all day. 😭 My skin will absolutely file a complaint. So I practice everything bare-faced, put the makeup on when it’s time to get the exact shots I need, and then wipe it right back off. 😂

Most days, you’re catching me natural, hair tied up, oversized T-shirt and sweats. But don’t get it twisted… I can get fly sometimes. 😏✨

The final photo is beautiful, but I think there’s something even more beautiful about showing you what happens before the edit, before the glam, and before the perfect lighting. 🫶🏾

Watching Destiny Swap come to life has been such an emotional experience. 🎬❤️ My team is genuinely excited about this film and its potential because we KNOW how much work, creativity, patience, and heart went into bringing this vision together.

@chels_karn and @spacyjacy absolutely brought these characters to LIFE. @sllamaproductions @_sammi97 and @rowan.tl did an amazing job behind the camera, capturing the vision in ways that made me even more excited about what we created. And above everything, I give all glory to Jesus Christ. 🙏🏾 What started as an idea in my head became something I could actually watch on a screen.

Creating has always been part of my healing. Film and content are therapy for me. I get to take samples of my experiences, emotions, pain, lessons, and pieces of my imagination and turn them into ART. And if something I create can make another person feel seen, think differently, heal, or simply feel less alone, then it served a purpose bigger than me.

In the words of Erykah Badu: “I’m an artist, and I’m sensitive about my 🤫.”
😂🎥 And BABY… after everything we poured into Destiny Swap, I understand that line on a spiritual level.
