A beautiful evening celebrating New Opera’s milestone of 15th Anniversary at their 2026 Opening Gala.

I’m grateful to have made my debut with @newopera_singapore on this meaningful stage!

To sing L’alba separa dalla luce l’ombra was a personal milestone. It’s a piece I’ve long wanted to bring to life and finally share. 💫

Thank you @aereejeong for the invitation and @wq_soh for the beautiful accompaniment. 🎵

My impression of Edgardo swinging his knife @theclosettenor 💐❤️ Insider joke for those who watched Lucia di Lamur🤫

Lucia di Lamur, @the_creative_sync 's adaptation of Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor has come to a close. We put in months of practices into the opera and I am glad that I've met such great people through this opera.

When @tenorboysg first asked me in May if I would be interested to understudy the tenor roles in Lucia di Lammermoor, I was excited but worried. Learning all 3 roles, Edgardo, Arturo and Normanno, was not easy, but I am glad that I said yes to Leslie and auditioned for this position as I have learned so much from this opportunity. Years of worries on vocal flutter and stage fright are finally calming down and with the endless support from the singers of Lucia di Lamur, I feel more confident than ever to put myself out there.

Thank you for all the advices, @weijievincent, who generously offered coaching even to understudies. And huge thanks to @the_creative_sync, @suyinmah, @huntermahguitar for the opportunity to be a part of this great production.

And as always, thanks to my wife, @curiekiwi, for the endless support❤️ by @baekjongwoo

One night down, two more to go!!

Our production of Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor with @the_creative_sync opened last night at SOTA Drama Theatre!

Set in a 1950s Southeast Asian kampung, this reimagining of the opera brings a unique local perspective to Donizetti’s tragic masterpiece.

It has been a wonderful experience bringing this production to life alongside such a talented cast and creative team!

If you haven't caught us yet, we have two more performances. Tonight (31 October) and tomorrow (1 November)!

Come join us for a little opera this Halloween weekend! 🎃
