Our tiny Himalayan town has an interesting mix of “locals,” many of who may not originally be from #Uttarkhand but chose to make Mussoorie their home. The more famous among these are #Ruskinbond and #Victorbannerjee.
And here’s someone who may not be famous, but sure is a well-know and we’ll-loved local. Meet Titi. He runs Mussorie’s most sought after mechanic-cum-metal working shop. He’s featured here doing what he loves best - taking an old bike, stripping it down and fitting it with a Ferrari engine (exaggeration, but you get the drift). His dimly lit workshop in Landour bazaar is a visual treat and from the thousands of tools on the walls, Titi can pick the one that be needs, with his eyes closed!
As you wander around Mussoorie and you happen to spot a colonial metal bench, or high Victorian gates or a Parisian railing - there’s a good chance that they were made at Titi’s!
If you happen to pass by his workshop, know that he always has the time and the inclination for a chat and a chai.

Blurring the boundaries between the real and the imagined, between the creator and the creation, between inner and outer worlds, between the screen, behind the screen and beyond the screen, this is one of the funniest and trippiest films I’ve seen in a long time.
