I was most surprised by the visual & visceral lessons it evoked for me and the important conversation that art sparks! Thanks @hotagc for bringing ‘this moment’ to life. #thismoment #chinesecontemporaryart #whiterabbit by @baifan_creative

Click clacking tiles, stacking, building walls, roll the dice, drawing, discarding, clockwise, anti-clockwise, pung, seung, sik wu!!

Great Friday night of drinks, snacks and making mahjong mates! Not to mention vibing to some Japanese reggae 😉

Let’s do it again!! by @baifan_creative

It’s happening!
Join us for a relaxed beginner session where we’ll learn Mahjong together following a Hong Kong-style. No experience needed, just your curiosity and being ready to give it a crack!

We’ll have two tables running, so numbers are intentionally small to give everyone a chance to learn and ask questions. We’re keeping it simple:

Today I was lucky enough to catch the last day of Ko Yun-kan’s work before he retires. He’s one of the few left who hand-carves Mahjong tiles, and after 47 years of incredible craftsmanship, he’s calling it a day. Even luckier, I got my hands on one of his last tiles, lucky number 3! Taking the number 3 as a symbol of growth and positivity, it feels like the perfect fit. Such an honour to have a piece of his work! by @baifan_creative

恭喜发财! Growing up, Lunar New Year was always a time of huge extended family gatherings, firecrackers and leaping lions, so many red packets, non stop delicious food, wearing new clothes and visiting so many aunties and uncles.
May this 🔥🐎火馬 year bring a transformation that you’ve been nurturing into reality! Let’s get it 💥 by @baifan_creative

Always looking out for a touch of Asian culture in my world. Sometimes it’s familiar and other times - like today - it’s a joyous discovery! Thanks to @oldquartercoffeemerchants for the Northern Layers that was both a not-too-sweet lapis legit flavour and a refreshing ice coffee morning hit on a warm Northern Rivers morning. by @baifan_creative
