Jesus truly is the desire of the nations.

Every nation I’ve had the privilege of visiting I’ve drawn closer & closer to Gods heart. I’ve tasted & seen his deep love for his people. He is a lovesick God. For every soul. For every tribe. For every tongue. He will go to unfathomable lengths to pour out his love upon a people.

Across the globe the cry is the same. It’s him. We need him. We’re desperate for him.

From the Nepali mother in a hut in the Himalayan mountains to the little boy in the Amazon jungle who lives alongside the river, the longing of the human heart is the same. Maranatha. Come, Lord Jesus.

Our hearts are longing for your return. We’re expectant & eager for the day we see You face to face. Locking eyes with the one whose eyes have burned & burned with love for us from the beginning of creation.

The desire of the nations is simply him. Nothing else will do. No other God or idol. There is no one like Jesus. He is the fulfillment of the deep longing in our hearts.

For me & for you the response is the same. It’s a yes to the greatest invitation. To walk in friendship with the king of kings, our creator. Saying yes to this invitation is what we were created for. It’s why we’re on this earth. To be a friend of Jesus Christ. I pray you will meet this king & feel his fiery love that has never stopped & will never stop burning for you.

Haggai 2:7 “I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory,” says the LORD of hosts.” by @bailey.marie.ryan

The greatest privilege of my life is to behold the Lamb of God.

John 1:29
“‘Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!’”

This is what you and I were created for. To look to him all the days of our life. I await the day I see his fiery eyes face to face for all eternity. Until then, The simple act of looking to Him will satisfy me all my days. He alone is the gift. He is the prize. When you’ve seen him all other desires fade, dreams apart from him seem less then, things of this earth can’t & won’t compare. He invites you to look at him today & never look away.

Psalm 27:4
“One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord
and to inquire in his temple.” by @bailey.marie.ryan
