In my lifetime, same-sex relationships were punishable by law, then became legal on a state by state basis, and less than 10 years ago became legal nationwide. Despite this progress, in more than 50% of states we can be refused service at public establishments, can be kicked out of religious institutions, and with every election we have to worry about if our rights to love and marry who we want to love will continue to be protected.

The fear of discrimination and the fear of loving our person openly and publicly is REAL and VALID. Despite this, I will continue to love my person loudly and have hope that our country who preaches about freedom, will include me and my community and allow us to continue to live and love freely and authentically. by @bailey.wehr
