Theodore Wolf Cauthren was born December 11th making us a family of 3 and we are so thankful.

Austin chose his name. Theodore meaning gift from God and Wolf after my 3rd great grandfather, who was a chaplain and hard-working, faithful man.

We pray that Theodore would grow in the Fruit of the Spirit and that he would love the Lord God with all his heart, soul, mind, and strength, and love his neighbor as himself.

Thank you for all your prayers as we enter parenthood - we desperately want to do it well.

Neither of us post much so I'm just checking in :) Austin and I are doing great. We're deeply in love, healthy, employed, and growing closer to the Lord. Year after year we grow more thankful for this life we've been gifted 💕 taken in Bonsai Pipeline, North Shore, Oahu by @bailey_pilgreen

One of the joys of our wedding was getting to collaborate with Austin and my dad on our ceremony script. Here's one of my favorite parts:

"To demonstrate their unity and commitment to caring for each other and their marriage, Austin and Bailey have chosen the metaphor of planting a tree seed together.

Other than God and people, the Bible mentions trees more than any other living thing. There is a tree on the first page of Genesis, in the first psalm, on the first page of the New Testament, and on the last page of Revelation. Every significant event in the Bible is marked by a tree. Whether it is the Fall of humanity, the flood, the death and resurrection of Jesus, the New Heaven and New Earth, every major event in the Bible has a tree, branch, fruit, seed, or some part of a tree marking the spot.

Both plants and humans thrive when under the care of a Master Gardener who knows their individual needs at the deepest level. It’s no mistake, according to the Bible, that the first person to see Jesus after His resurrection mistook Him for a gardener. Austin and Bailey are promising to come alongside God in that holy task, caring for each other and helping each other grow, creating the right environment to encourage the other to bear fruit of the Holy Spirit, which are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, and self-control.

Father God, we praise you for your holiness and that you made a way for us to be in relationship with you. Help us to surrender to you daily, and strengthen our faith. We pray that Austin and Bailey’s marriage would be like a strong tree, whose roots grow deep in your truth to withstand the storms of life. In your Son's name we pray. Amen

Austin, my best friend and the love of my life! Your birthday is tomorrow but I was just too excited to celebrate you.

God broke the mold the minute you came into this world. There's no one else like you and no one else I can imagine adventuring through this life with!

You are truly the best man I know and I'm so thankful I get to watch you grow and discover who you were created to be. You challenge me to love deeper, serve more, give more, and be more. Until we get to heaven, you're my home. My wild, loud, exciting, loving, perfectly peaceful and encouraging home. I'm so thankful for all you are. Praise the Lord! August 11th - We drove downtown after Bible study one night and signed our marriage application. Turns out you can self-officiate in DC which is super handy! Submitted it a few days later to the courthouse and we received our official license sometime in early September.

September 25th - Our pastor married us in a small, simple ceremony. We exchanged our vows, had chicken salad sandwiches for dinner and moved Austin into my house the next morning.

February 19th - We got to celebrate with so many friends and family in Alabama. It was an absolutely perfect day 💕 Many more pictures to come!

I love how we staggered all the big moments. We got to enjoy everything so thoroughly and really savor all the details. We're already talking about throwing another wedding just because - maybe our 10 yr anniversary? You're all invited!! by @bailey_pilgreen

I could write a novel about how God has used our relationship to make us more like Him! But we have a wedding to plan! No time for novels!!

Austin is one of the greatest men I know. He serves like Jesus and constantly challenges me to love people better. He doesn't let me go a day without telling me how precious I am to him. I'm beyond excited to marry him!!

God is SO GOOD and His timing is perfect!

Friends! I'm getting the heck off social media for a hot second! Honestly, probably longer than a hot second but we'll see 💃

My never ending feed is fueling my escapist tendencies and it's the last thing I should be doing right now.

I believe social media can be used for good! I make sure to only follow friends and Christian accounts that bring light to my day, but the problem is rooted in how 👏 much 👏 time 👏 I'm allowing myself to escape via feeds. Time I could use studying scripture or truly resting! I sat outside for two hours today and just stared at the sky and prayed! I primarily prayed passing birds didn't poop on me but still 🤷‍♀️ It was amazing! I want more of it!
