Well, the cat’s out of the bag! 🏡💕 The Barbie Dream House (Bailey’s Version) is officially for sale!

This has been one of the toughest decisions I’ve had to make, but as life changes, so does what home needs to look like. As much as I love my house, it’s time for a new chapter, with a setting a little closer to where my everyday life unfolds.

The boys and I have spent the last three years doing just about everything possible to get this place picture perfect. And somewhere between all the painting, home improvement projects, and turning a blank backyard into a beautiful fairy garden, I’ve realized just how much I’ve grown into myself here.

This house started with just me and Alberto José, and somehow I’m leaving with a few more furry friends than I came with. It’s where Miguel, Cleo, and Santi have all grown up, and it’s never been quite the same without our sweet Jude. ❤️

This place has given me so much love, and I’ve poured just as much back into it. I’ve loved every second of making it my own, even the frustrating, messy, and downright exhausting parts. I’ll never do flooring again, but I have discovered a talent for installing door knobs.

It’s bittersweet to say goodbye to a home that has been such a big part of becoming who I am. I hope whoever gets to call it theirs next, loves it as much as I do. 💕

Usually every birthday there’s some sort of goal I’m heading towards. At 30 I was starting a new dream job, at 27 I thought I was getting married, at 24 I was moving to Spain, at 22 I was standing at the Sydney Opera House excited to graduate college. Today starts the first page of “Year 31”. I can’t say I have anything big planned. Maybe this is a filler chapter, maybe we are heading for a plot twist. I think a younger me would be upset, she would say, “Bailey what are your goals, what’s next to achieve, why are you not doing more?” But the Bailey I am now is just happy her pets are healthy, her parents are around, her sisters are busy being moms, her house is quiet, her friends might be scattered across the globe but what a blessing it is to have so many beautiful places to visit, her health is better than last year, and we’ve made it another lap around the sun.

My life is far from simple, but there’s a calmness about it I’ve never had before. So much anxiety led up to turning 30, and feeling behind, but 365 pages ago I realised the worries never mattered.

Good days happen, bad days pass, and I know there are many more great days to come.

31 has a special feeling, in feeling so old yet so young at the same time. I have days where kids see me as the adult in the room then there are times where I feel like a child, so thrilled to braid my pony’s mane and snuggle with my dogs. Today is a birthday where I’m not secretly hoping a boy will buy me flowers, I made an arrangement myself, there’s not a “friend” making the day about them, I have plans with some of my girls, and best of all I feel content in my own skin.

So here’s to you 31, be whatever my life needs. Thank you to all you beautiful people who make my life so special.

Professional toy thief. Creator of imaginary games. Certified little menace. 😅

He’s sassy, scrappy, and has a heart full of love. Out of all my wonderfully weird dogs, this one might just win the prize for the strangest ranger. He spends his days inventing games that only make sense to him, stealing whatever toy Miguel happens to be playing with, and taking up as much space on the couch as physically possible.
