This football club has been a big part of my entire adult life. I’ve made lifelong friends, grown into a man and hopefully connected with and inspired some of the Freo family along the way. I’ll miss the club, but onto our next adventure with our family ❤️ by @baileybanfield

💜 For 24 years, the Fremantle Dockers have been shining brightly for Starlight, creating unforgettable memories through Purple Haze.

Ahead of this year's Purple Haze game, Starlight families had the chance to get to know the players they look up to. From a special visit to the Starlight Express Room to a VIP training lunch, kids shared genuine moments of connection with their heroes.

By game day, those connections came full circle. Starlight kids proudly wore this year's Purple Haze training t-shirt, designed by children in the Starlight Express Room, and ran out onto the field alongside the players.

For 7-year-old Vance, the experience reached another level when he was invited to take part in the official coin toss, a moment he'll never forget! ✨

Then came a comeback that had everyone talking. As the Dockers fought their way to an incredible win, young fan Izzy turned to the team with one question: "How did you even do that?"

But the most important number from the night wasn't on the scoreboard.

It was 102,564, the number of seriously ill children and young people supported through 24 years of Purple Haze.

Thank you, @freodockers, for continuing to shine so brightly for Starlight, both on and off the field. 💜
