One month without you. 🦅💜🐘•I don’t know what to say still. Life is almost unbearable without you in it. I have loved and idolized you my entire life. You were my best friend, and the past month I have done nothing but think of things from your perspective. How you would tackle a loss like this. I saw you navigate the loss of @reevz7 exactly one year and one month ago. You allowed yourself to be sad, and then you did everything in your power to keep us together and looking towards the sun. You were our glue. Our eternal sunshine. You treated all you knew like a brother or sister. You loved on your family because you knew you only got one, and even with flaws, your family was yours to forever hold in your heart. •I’m still pissed. I still don’t understand. But I hold on to the faith and pride that comes with being your daughter. I help my family just as you did, and I create new opportunities for myself to look forward to, just like you would. “It’s the feeling of pure ecstasy… To be seen the way that I see me…” 😘💁🏼‍♀️•Was 🤏🏼 this close to being a Broadway Baby at the beginning of the month… and I am “dying” to get back! Here’s “For The Gaze” from the hit musical @deathbecomesher. ⚡️Greece posts are back with DELPHI⚡️•Located on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, Delphi was known in ancient times as the “navel of the earth,” which makes me think of belly buttons! It was here, at the Oracle of Apollo, ancient Greeks sought advice from the high priestess.…and yes, she was really “high” from the natural geological vapors emerging from below the surface of her seat. Talk about a far out job! 🌅🧘🏼‍♀️•Highlights in Delphi included the Charioteer, a statue cast in liquid bronze. The young man was lifelike, and included small details like veins and eyelashes. 👁️Delphi also was strong in the views department, and We enjoyed the sunset against the rolling mountains. ⛰️⛅️•The tour of Greece continues! Greek Adventures Day 3: Olympia 🏅•After a day of traveling, we were able to explore the ORIGINAL Olympic Village. I learned so many things… like did you know all athletes competed in the nude? Covered in Olive Oil?!? I’m sad I missed that… 🤣•We visited the archeological site at Olympia and I fell in love with Hermes holding Dionysus (photo 4), and I thought of my dad as I participated in the foot race on the same track almost 3,000 years ago. Greece Series: Sightseeing in Mycenae and Nafplio ⛰️🛥️ •While we traveled to Olympia for our next overnight, we stopped in Nafplio to stretch our legs and gaze at the beautiful waterfront. We then traveled to through the countryside to the Archeological site of Mycenae. The Mycenaean civilization was the first advanced, distinctively Greek culture on the European mainland, and was known as the seat of King Agamemnon, who led the Greeks in the Trojan War. That means this land was flourishing over 3,000 year ago! Imagine having that much history at your fingertips. We begin in the world’s oldest city: Athens 🏺•Athína (Αθήνα), I learned, was the birthplace of democracy, and that fact was made clear as we explored the rich history and culture of our first stop. Did you know that no other building is allowed to exceed the height of the Acropolis? This has kept the city’s skyline clear of large modern eyesores, and maintained that incredible view. 🌄•We had amazing food, enjoyed getting to know Athens through long walks, and made sure to visit as many of the historic sites we could in our day and a half in this beautiful, ancient city. 🗺️•Can’t wait to continue to show you my adventures in Greece!
