Six months ago, we turned one of the bedrooms in our downtown Toronto apartment into the ultimate cycling room 🚴🏼‍♀️🚴🏼‍♂️💨

But after picking up our dream road bikes this summer, we had to completely rethink the setup 👀

This time around, we focused on making the space work for four bikes (in a small apartment 😅) without losing that airy, functional feel we love. Here’s what made it possible:

👉🏻 Rack D: Now stacked one above the other near the door, so we can grab-and-go without taking up extra space.
👉🏻 Wall Mounts: Our newest TONS additions - super sleek, minimal, and perfect for storing the new bikes.
👉🏻 Wheel Hangers: Shifted to the opposite wall, keeping everything off the floor and organized.
👉🏻 Classic Tables: Stayed right where they were (because we love that city view while we ride 🌆).

At first I wasn’t sure this layout would work… but honestly, I love it 10x more. Just another reason why I’m such a fan of @tons.bike !!!

What do you think - did we nail the Cycling Room 2.0 upgrade? 💬

165km from Toronto to the bottom of Niagara Falls . Comment “Niagara” for the GPX file 📍🚴🏻

This is a bucket-list road cycling route for a lot of us, so instead of following the QEW we found a quieter way to ride it. Most of the day runs along the Waterfront Trail out of Toronto, with a coffee stop in Oakville and a pizza stop before the big decision: stay flat on the trail, or climb the Niagara Escarpment like we did. Either way you finish rolling up on the falls from behind. We’ve mapped both the climb and the flat option in the guide.

Our gravel bikes got a little neglected this summer… and honestly, it wasn’t because we didn’t want to ride them🤞🏼

Having them set up on our trainers meant that they were always ready to ride indoors… not so much for outdoors lol.

So naturally, our road bikes became the go-to all summer, and our gravel bikes took a bit of a backseat 😅

Going into another indoor cycling season, we decided it was time to rethink our setup.

This week we got the new Zwift Ride V2 bikes and hopped back on @rouvyapp, and so far, I’m really excited about the new setup!

Between the virtual shifting and having a dedicated bike that’s always ready to go, it feels like we’re approaching indoor training a little differently this year.

Tbh I’m just excited to get our gravel bikes back out there and start planning our next big adventure before the season is over. 🚴🏼‍♀️💨

If you’re also getting your at-home cycling setup ready for the colder months, follow along as @francisayling and I take on indoor training this year!

As we head into another indoor cycling season, it felt like the perfect time to give our at-home cycling studio a little refresh.

We’ve officially upgraded our indoor cycling setup, and now there’s just one thing driving me crazy… the very obvious blank wall 😂

Which is where I need your help…

I want to find 2–3 large prints for the space. Maybe a really cool cycling print, vintage cycling poster, mountain photography, a landscape, or even something completely unexpected that would work in the room.

So if you know an artist, photographer, print shop, or that one piece of cycling artwork you’ve always loved, send it my way! I’m taking ALLLLLL the recommendations 👀

And if you’re also getting your at-home cycling setup ready for the colder months… follow along 👋🏻 It’s indoor season baby!!

Fall is our favourite time to ride cottage country. Comment “Cottage” for the GPX file 📍🍂

This 87km loop out of Sharbot Lake is one we come back to every autumn. Quiet back roads, more lakes than you can count, and a stretch along Wolfe Lake that’s worth the drive on its own. Lunch at the Tangled Garden Cafe in Westport sets you up for the toughest climb of the day, and from there it’s rolling hills the whole way home.

Best part? The leaves are only going to get better 🚴🏻

👀 There are a few things I wish I knew before buying my first cycling kit, especially when it comes to how a jersey should actually fit when you’re riding.

Coming from someone who mostly wears looser fit everyday clothing, I definitely approached buying my first jersey with the same mindset.. which may not have been the best strategy lol

A cycling jersey is designed to fit your body differently when you’re actually on the bike, so the way it looks and feels standing up isn’t necessarily the best indicator of how it should fit while riding.

And then there’s the fact that cycling jerseys can vary a lot between brands and even between different jersey lines. Some are designed with a more relaxed fit, while others are much more fitted or compressive.

So if you’re new to cycling and trying to figure out your cycling jersey size, there’s definitely some trial and error involved.

This is one of those things I wish someone had explained to me when I was buying my first cycling kit 😅

If you’re shopping for your first cycling jersey, save this for later!

Here’s an idea for your next Wahoo Activity Share 👀

I’ve been getting more creative with how I share my routes lately, and I love that Activity Share gives me a little more flexibility to make it feel personal. You can customize the overlay and choose exactly which stats to include, so you can highlight the parts of the ride you actually want to share.

Try it yourself! 🚴🏼‍♀️💨

The gear that’s actually earned a spot in my setup 👀 + what’s still on my wish list.

A few years into road cycling (and a few splurges later), I’ve learned that not every piece of cycling gear that looks good online is actually worth spending your money on.

So I’m sharing the top cycling gear and accessories I genuinely use and love, the upgrades I think are actually worth it, and a few things I’m still debating adding to my setup.

Because when you’re getting into road cycling, it can feel like there’s an endless list of cycling essentials you need lol.

If you’re a beginner cyclist, save this video for your next bike gear purchase 🙌🏻

Two rides to put on your list if you’re cycling Niagara’s South Coast 🚴🏼‍♂️🚴🏼‍♀️💨

If you’re new to the area, these are two pretty different ways to explore it.

The Friendship Trail is a 24km paved, car-free route between Port Colborne and Fort Erie. It’s flat, easy-going, and a great option for a relaxed day on the bike. We rode out to Waverly Beach before heading back into Port Colborne.

Then there’s Pelham, where we linked the Short Hills Loops and the Villages Route through quiet back roads and some beautiful countryside. You’ll pass Canada’s oldest sugar maple, wind your way out toward Short Hills Provincial Park, and eventually drop back into Pelham’s town centre.

Comment “South Coast” and I’ll send you the GPX files for both routes 🙌🏻
