Last night we brought together the @2msmokehouse and @baked_satx teams together for a well deserved dinner.

Pitmasters was an incredible journey, but none of it would have been possible without the people who kept everything running behind the scenes.

Right outside of San Antonio in the small town of Castroville, you’ll find a bakery serving up some seriously top-tier pastries from Chef Grecia Ramos. @lareinadepostres
The pain au chocolat is my personal favorite, while my kids are all about the Pop-Tarts and monkey bread. Honestly, grab one of each and you won’t be disappointed.

Wellllll… looks like Baked is growing up. 🥹🥐🔥

Winning Pitmasters wasn’t the finish line if anything, it made me think a whole lot bigger about what Baked by Chef Grecia Ramos can become.

Right now, that means expanding our menu, pushing myself creatively, and getting ready to open up wholesale so you can hopefully find our pastries in a whole lot more places. 👀

I started Baked because I fucking love making pastry. That’s it. 😂 I wanted to make good shit, build something that felt like me, and create a place people genuinely wanted to come back to.

Now I’m getting to ask myself, “Okay Chef… what’s next?”

And apparently the San Antonio Business Journal wanted to know too. 😭😂

Castroville is home and there’s still A LOT I want to build here. But I’d be lying if I said I don’t have my eyes on San Antonio someday. 👀

For now… more pastries. More Baked. More places to get your hands on it.

One move at a time. 🥐🔥

And maybe one day… Baked in the big city? 😏

Look at us. So happy. So rested. So blissfully unaware of the absolute MAYHEM that was about to begin. 😂🔥

This was basically Day 0 of Pitmasters. Straight from the airport, an In-N-Out run, then off to the cabins. Some of these badass mfs we were meeting for the very first time, some were familiar faces, but none of us really knew what the hell we were about to go through together.

I really wish we had more BTS from those first few days, because this is one of the only pictures I have before the fires were lit, the clocks started ticking, the sleep disappeared, and shit got REAL. 😮‍💨😂

Looking at it now makes me smile because I’m genuinely grateful we got to cook alongside this crew. Badass pitmasters, chefs, competitors, and even better humans. We came from different places, different backgrounds and completely different styles of cooking then got thrown into the same crazy ass experience.

We competed. We stressed. We laughed. We cooked our asses off. And we made some damn good memories in between.

Little did we know when this picture was taken what was waiting for all of us on the other side of that van ride. 🔥

Right before the mayhem. Right before the fire. Right before Pitmasters.

Wouldn’t trade it for shit. Love you guys! 🤠🔥
