The past months been all about fermentation. I’ve been enjoying this a little too much. After some trial and error I finally have a batch I’m pretty happy with. Here’s some deets:

Fruit: 🍑

Added nutrients:
One cup strong black tea for the tannin and the nutrients and half a cup of lemon juice for the citric acid .

Progress:
Currently in its secondary ferment

Flavor:
Primary ferment - Cinnamon and Nutmeg

Secondary ferment - More cinnamon cuz I thought it didn’t have enough and some ginger for that added kick and warmth.

Yeast: Lalvin EC - 1118 by @bakedbaloch

In solidarity with @mahrangbaloch__ , @sammideen and @balochyakjehticommittee. BakedBaloch is going on an indefinite break from taking orders. I can’t be in my kitchen baking for you guys while my brothers and sisters in Balochistan are being shot at and killed. I request anybody that appreciates me and appreciates my food to educate yourselves on what exactly is happening in Balochistan, the states genocide against us and to raise your voices. by @bakedbaloch

In the past few months everything that could have gone wrong has gone wrong. There’s so much uncertainty - both, in the world and in my life.

It’s been a rollercoaster of emotions - reconnecting with family brought joy, but the fear of losing them casts a long shadow. Doubts about old relationships mingle with regret about neglecting others, and the weight of it all feels crippling almost. It seems like I’m finally losing my mind, the little seams that are keeping my sanity together are ripping one by one.

But, in these difficult times, it’s the sound of the waves and the quiet of my kitchen that are still holding me together. Even in this seeming darkness, some hope remains. by @bakedbaloch
