today is a special day!!! my band released our final EP Every Hand is a Winner and we’re celebrating with a farewell show tonight at mother foucault’s :)

this project has brought me so much - joy, knowledge, confidence, camaraderie, community, creativity…. I feel so lucky to have had this as a huge part of my life for the past 3 years! I’m sad to see it end but so excited for whatever lies ahead <3

anywayyyy you should really come to the show tonight!!!! I made this labor intensive diorama for the EP cover that’ll be showcased onstage during our set and all of our merch is free for the evening, so you can come rock out and then take some shit and not even have to spend real human dollars on it! I would be so happy to see you there taken in Mother Foucault's Bookshop by @bakedbeanfiend

our debut album I Made You a Shrine is out today!

please excuse me while I get sappy for a moment… to think that the day is finally here, after creating and disbanding a band, after starting from zero in Keir’s 4th floor apartment, after discovering I was capable of writing my own songs, after being united with Quin, after countless practices in the basement with the indescribable smell, and shows all over town, and recording in a cozy cabin over the winter, and many consecutive months mixing, after talking about this faraway pipe dream for so long - it means so much to me.

I’m incredibly proud of all of us for coming together and making something all our own. something we can share together and pass onto others and connect over. even if no one ever heard these songs it would still mean this much. so yeah, lifelong dream fulfilled, yada yada yada.

the album is available on pretty much all streaming platforms and we’re playing a release show tomorrow night. it’s gonna be really awesome!!! you should come!

thank you for listening and supporting and reading this mammoth of a post. I promise I won’t be this insufferable again for a while. by @bakedbeanfiend
