One year ago last night, the feeling of existential dread accompanied with anxiety and panic attacks in the worst way pushed me off a ledge I never thought I’d jump from . This morning a year ago, I ended up in an ER , at UC , heart rate through the roof - within an hour I had multiple doses of Ativan and Valium to counteract my severe withdrawals from alcohol . The thoughts that flooded my mind in the next 48 hours will be , forever and always the scariest I’ve ever dreamed of. I was so scared, but I chose my life that night, I chose rehab. Here I am 365 days later , and it’s hard to conjure up the words to express my gratitude and love for anybody and everybody whose spoken any sort of positivity to me through this, directly to me or in your prayers , the friends I have met along the way and the friends who are still here with me . Life is so much cooler sober , on to building back the rest of the peices I’ve picked up along this journey . 2023, it is officially , my year! by @bakers96
