Learning to surrender as someone who loves control has been one of the most difficult, yet rewarding, things I’ve ever experienced in this lifetime. If you had asked me three years ago where I’d be today, I never would’ve imagined my life looking the way it does now. My community has shown up for me consistently in ways I could have never imagined.

For those of you who don’t know, I never planned to become a baker. A casting company actually reached out to me and encouraged me to apply for a national television cooking show. My first thought was, “Well, if I make it on and there’s a dessert round, I’m definitely getting kicked off” haha. I went out and bought a KitchenAid stand mixer, never knowing it would completely change my life.

Even though I didn’t make it onto the show, what came from that experience was far greater than the opportunity itself. I started posting treats online and getting huge reactions until the community called out to me — and I answered.

There’s no way I could’ve gotten where I am today without the mentorship, support, love, and abundance surrounding me every single day. I’m constantly in awe that my passion has allowed me to put food on my community’s table as well as my own. I get emotional thinking about how every experience I’ve had has shaped me into exactly who I’m meant to be today — every restaurant I’ve worked in, every phenomenal meal I’ve experienced, every lesson I’ve learned. And there’s still so much more room for growth.

While grateful for the amazing experiences and connections that have come from my little home oven, for quite some time, I’ve been searching for a commercial space that would allow me to separate my work life from my home life, and I finally found a kitchen space where I’ll be able to fully express my creativity and continue becoming even better than I was before.

This is my thank you to everyone who has believed in me and cheered me on along the way. There’s so much more to come.

What a phenomenal way to kick off Pride Month! 🌈

A huge thank you to Nine Pin Cider for having me. The energy, inclusivity, and space you create for our community are truly unmatched.

Shoutout to the queens who absolutely threw down at drag brunch yesterday—you all brought the house down! And thank you to everyone who came out, supported the show, and grabbed a little snack along the way. Your support means everything.

Made a bunch of Concord grape jam last season and had no idea what to do with the rest… until it hit me. Let’s really take them back 🙂‍↔️

I came to Guatemala to hike, explore, and (hopefully) witness a volcano erupt—but I had to stop for some delicious pastries along the way. 😋

Another day. Another slay! ✨

A huge thank you to Mayor Dorcey Applyrs’ administration for reaching out to grab some Nostalgia Baked goodies to bring back to the City of Albany office! It truly means so much.

I’ve always been such a Troy, NY boy since I touched foot, but getting to know Albany—and the incredible people who make this city what it is—has been such a phenomenal journey. I’m grateful for every connection, every conversation, and every opportunity to grow alongside this community.

I can’t wait to keep meeting more people, building relationships, and continuing to connect both locally and beyond.
