She found her lobster 🦞💛💙❤️

I had fun making this dolce vita inspired hen do cake, but I have to admit, my most favourite part was the lobster! 😁

Blackberries or raspberries? 🖤♥️

You really can’t go wrong with either, especially on these oval wedding cakes 😍

Some wedding cake sketches from last summer that I never got around to sharing 🤍

I can’t visualise things properly if I don’t draw them first. My drawings aren’t the best 😂 but at least they give me an idea of how the cake might look.

Of course, there are always some last minute changes because sometimes things look different in my head compared to how they turn out on paper. And sometimes, I end up changing things again while making the actual cake! 😂

Just part of the process, I guess. 🤍

One of the nicest things about making cakes is finding out just how far they travel beyond the person who ordered them. 🥹🤍

At this wedding, I found out that some of the guests were actually my regular customers. And apparently, when some people saw the cake on their friends’ stories, they said, “I knew that was Joy’s cake!” 🥹

It’s such a lovely feeling knowing that people recognise my work even without seeing my name on it.

Thank you for trusting me with your celebrations, and for helping a little homebaker like me become a familiar name in your circle. It really means a lot. 🤍

An 8” 4-layer engagement cake that my customer brought all the way to Watford. 🚙

I’m so glad summer is finally over and we’re starting to get cooler temperatures again. I love summer and being outdoors and all, but the high temperatures that come with it are definitely a nemesis for us bakers.

So I’m just happy this one arrived in perfect shape, and even happier that the couple loved both the taste and the design. (Insert raspberry emoji) 🤍

I just get excited when you order something and all these images start playing in my mind.

Then designing day comes and I’m stuck like… okay, but HOW am I actually going to do this? 😂

At that point, I just figure it out as I go. I’m still learning to do this and have to constantly remind myself to trust the process.

Because somehow, it usually comes together in the end. 🤍

The best view is always behind the fridge door 😍😍

Always so grateful for the privilege of creating these beauties for my lovely customers. Thank you for trusting me with your special occasions and for allowing me to do what I love. It means more than you know. 🤗
