Bakersfield… there's a BRAND-NEW restaurant right across from Riverwalk, and we got invited for a first taste! 👀🔥 @zanis.bakersfield is at 11313 Stockdale Hwy Ste 400, Bakersfield, CA 93311 From the beautiful atmosphere and outdoor patio to the drinks and food, this place has a lot going for it. And we tried some seriously GOOD dishes! 🌯 Tri-Tip Wrap — the flavor of that tri-tip was EVERYTHING! 🍔 Chile Verde Burger — juicy beef patty, house-made chile verde and melted cheese on a potato bun. This one completely surprised us! 🍳 Which Comes First — crispy chicken, poached eggs and house-made chipotle hollandaise on a toasted English muffin. That sauce was NEXT LEVEL. 🤯 🥞 Lemon Blueberry Ricotta Churro de Leche Pancakes — possibly some of the BEST pancakes we've ever had. Seriously, these tasted homemade! ☕ Plus a Strawberry Matcha, Brown Sugar Cinnamon Latte and some beautiful drinks from the bar. One thing we loved was the variety. 📍3605 Mount Vernon Ave, Bakersfield, CA 93306 Bakersfield asked… and they LISTENED. 🍣🔥 Before @__koreahouse__ , you might remember this family as Shoyu Sushi — and apparently you guys REALLY missed their sushi. 😂 Since becoming Korea House, the owners told us they've had countless customers and people online asking the same question: “Are you ever bringing the sushi back?” Well… IT'S BACK. 👀🙌 We stopped by to try some of the sushi returning to the menu, and not only was everything delicious, the presentation was seriously some of the best we've seen in Bakersfield. These plates looked like ART. 🤯 🍣 Crazy Dream Roll — baked salmon + cream cheese 🍣 Old Blue Fin Roll with fresh wasabi 🔥 Baked Green Mussels 🐟 Tuna Carpaccio 🍣 Yellowtail, Tuna & Salmon Nigiri Everything was amazing, but that Crazy Dream Roll was 🔥🔥🔥. So if you were one of the people who missed the sushi from the Shoyu days… you don't have to ask anymore. 📍5075 Gosford Rd, Bakersfield, CA Bakersfield… @dirtdogbako is officially here 🌭🔥 We got a sneak peek before their GRAND OPENING on September 8th, and these are definitely NOT your average hot dogs. 👀 Dirt Dog started from a childhood memory of the founder walking through Downtown L.A. and smelling the Mexican street dogs being cooked by vendors. His mom wouldn't let him get one and called them “dirty dogs.” 😂 Years later, that memory became Dirt Dog — first in L.A., then Vegas, and now right here in BAKERSFIELD! 🙌 Here's what we tried: 🌽 Elote Dog — bacon aioli, elote, mayo, cotija & house seasoning. One of our FAVORITES. 🧀 Cheesy Dog — seasoned fries, house-made jalapeño cheese sauce, crispy bacon & more. 🌭 Jay Dog — house-made relish, pico de gallo & mustard. This one hit home because it's basically how I make mine 😂 🔥 Mutt Dog — sautéed veggies in a spicy tomato sauce with chimichurri. 🍟 Elote Fries 🌶️ Chili Fries — made with their house-made chorizo chili, and these were SO GOOD. 📅 GRAND OPENING: SEPTEMBER 8TH If you've never had Dirt Dog before, Bakersfield finally has its own.
