Bailey and Chancelor’s spring celebration at Heron Hill was layered with fresh color, thoughtful details, and so much joy. From vibrant accents to a chartreuse checkered dance floor that brought in a playful pop of color, every element was designed to feel lively and inviting for their 245 guests.

Our team was honored to thoughtfully lead and manage this celebration, ensuring every element came together with intention and allowing the day to unfold exactly as it was meant to.

Continuing Your Planner’s Perspective series with a big one - the questions we think to ask your venue 👏 We narrowed it down to 10, but don’t you worry - we could write a book on this one!

1. What happens if it rains?
Is there an indoor backup that accommodates our guest count and design? When must we make the final weather call?

2. How early can vendors access the property?
Is there enough time for rentals, florals, lighting, and production to complete their installations?

3. Where will guests gather between events?
Is there enough space for guests to comfortably transition without seeing unfinished setups or interrupting vendors?

4. What are the venue’s electrical capabilities?
Can the property accommodate catering, entertainment, and lighting simultaneously, or will additional power be needed?

5. What does vendor load-in and load-out look like?
Where can trucks park? Are there stairs, narrow entrances, or access restrictions that could delay setup?

6. Are there any design restrictions?
Can we install hanging florals, draping, or custom structures? Are candles or certain installations prohibited?

7. What will guests see throughout the event?
Can catering areas, equipment, storage, and vendor breakdowns be concealed from guest-facing spaces?

8. How will venue staff coordinate with our vendors?
Who manages room transitions, meal service, lighting adjustments, and unexpected venue-related issues?

9. How much time do we have for breakdown?
Must everything be removed that evening? Are there overtime fees or restrictions on next-day rental pickups?

10. What logistical limitations could affect the guest experience?
Are restrooms and parking sufficient? Are there noise ordinances, accessibility concerns, or transportation restrictions?

For us, your wedding is way more than just an event.

We ensure that every single detail is thought of and seen through, because your wedding day is the one of the only days when all of your family and friends gather together for one purpose: to celebrate you. 🥰

You probably tried on a dozen shoes. Smelled every perfume at the counter. Held two earrings up to your dress trying to decide.

I love photographing the pretty little things because I know how much thought went into choosing them. And when you look back through your wedding gallery, I want you to remember those parts, too. 🤍

Getting married in Columbia, SC or the surrounding areas? Charleston and Greenville… we see you, too! Let’s chat about your wedding photography and see if we’re a good match.

To be honest - most days being a planner isn’t that glamorous!! 🫶

Continuing our series where we literally show you what is like through our lens!

So much of Instagram is the wedding day - the pretty stuff, the crazy hustle and bustle! But most days, it’s just the hard work that goes into the over 500 hours it takes to plan a production.

So as you scroll - enjoy my regular Tuesday as a wedding planner 🥰

All we can say about ceremony florals is that….
They 👏 Are 👏 Worth 👏 It 👏

If you are a bride looking at this and wondering - are the ceremony florals REALLY worth the investment? The answer is yes.

From something similar like floral arrangement on pillars, to a full ground aisle meadow and arch - the beauty of those florals will be more impactful than you realize 🌷😘
