Now Open: Riva Restaurant and Bar 🌊🍻 and it’s everything I hoped for and more!

From the drinks to the scenery to the entire vibe, I loved every second of my visit. West Haven has a new waterfront gem and it’s the perfect place for summer hangs. Wood-fired pizza, local brews, a tiki bar, and even an ice cream spot right off the beach.

You’re going to want to check this place out.

I found a new breakfast spot in Shelton that’s doing a whole lot more than just donuts.

🍩 @glazengrind has a case full of creative donuts, fresh bagels, breakfast sandwiches, specialty coffee, and one seriously loaded breakfast burrito. I tried the breakfast burrito, their churro donut with caramel and chocolate drizzle, a classic chocolate sprinkle donut, and the strawberry sprinkle donut paired with an iced coffee. Every bite was worth it.

Whether you’re grabbing breakfast on the go or treating yourself to coffee and a donut, this is a spot you’ll want to check out.

Lobster season is officially back at bartaco and I think they just dropped one of the best summer menus yet. 🦞🌮🍉🍹

@eva_vallerie and I had to try the new lobster + corn taco, lobster esquites, and the creamy cotija corn dip, then made our own fresh watermelon mint margaritas (made with fresh squeezed juice, never mixes 👏). Everything tasted like summer, and the flavors paired together perfectly.

These seasonal items are only here for a limited time, so if you’re a lobster or margarita fan, don’t wait!

The wait is over. 🍔🦞

I got an early taste of The New Englander @planbburgerbar and if you’re a lobster fan and a burger fan, this one’s going to make you very happy.

Two smash patties, sweet lobster, Swiss, caramelized onions, creamed corn, lettuce, and tomato… all stacked into one seriously wild burger.

It’s only available starting tomorrow through Sunday, so don’t wait too long if you want to try it. I have a feeling this one’s going to be a popular order all weekend.

I stopped by @OldeWorldApizza to check out the pizza, and with new ownership, they’re staying true to everything you want in authentic New Haven apizza. 🍕🔥

Just checked out the new @deroccoswbb location in Middlebury and it’s easy to see why they’ve built such a loyal following over the last five years. 👏

I ordered the sausage, egg, cheese, avocado and hot sauce wrap, plus an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese, and both were spot on.

The new space gives them plenty of room to grow while keeping everything that made the original a local favorite. If you’re a bagel lover, this is one you’ll want to add to your list. 🥯☕

Congrats to the DeRocco’s team on the move and this exciting new chapter!

Brunch at Marketplace Kitchen & Bar in Newington is always a good idea.

We went all in with the Short Rib Benedict, a massive omelette loaded with flavor, a juicy burger that absolutely delivered, and French toast that was worth saving room for.

The Short Rib Benedict was the star of the table. Tender short rib, perfectly poached eggs, and rich hollandaise coming together in every bite. The omelette was fluffy, packed with fresh ingredients, and cooked just right. The burger was everything you want in a great brunch burger, and the French toast finished things off with the perfect balance of sweetness.

Whether you’re looking for breakfast, brunch, or lunch, Marketplace continues to be one of my favorite spots in the area.

Boston Sail Loft might have just served me the best clam chowder I’ve ever had. Look at this thing overflowing out of the mug. Thick, creamy, loaded with clams and potatoes, and packed with flavor in every bite without feeling overly heavy. That’s what makes a great chowder. Rich texture, tons of clam flavor, the right balance of seasoning, and enough substance that every spoonful actually feels loaded.

And the lobster roll absolutely deserves attention too. Fresh chunks of lobster piled high, buttery on the side, perfectly toasted roll, and waterfront Boston views while eating it. Hard to beat that combination.

The line outside was about an hour long, but we got into the bar area within about 20 minutes and it was 100% worth it. Great atmosphere, incredible seafood, and one of those places that completely lives up to the hype.

Highly recommend if you’re in Boston.
