Here is the lovely Bricklink set 910066 Brick Railway Locomotive in my Lego City!

Designed by @trbricks.de

I enjoyed the build. Some very clever techniques eg for the windows, using roller skates for door handles and all the detail in the bogies. I love the dark blue colour and also how the set harks back to the LEGO Santa Fe Super Chief 10020 locomotive from 2002.

It is big though! Certainly Tower Bridge will need some adjustments if this thing is ever to run over it. It will look great with the Orient Express coaches as they are also in dark blue.

I plan to motorise this locomotive in the future also build the B unit with the second set using the free instructions on rebrickable. Happy days!

Let me know in the comments your thoughts on this locomotive 👇🏻 🙏🏼

Yessss! 🚆 🚆

I love it how Bricklink orders randomly appear months after you order them, they make for a very nice surprise !

Double trouble incoming for the rails….

It’s been a while…..I have been away a lot these past few months and have been experiencing a mini Lego Dark Age….normally I take Lego with me or pre-record content!

It’s always lovely to see again the organised chaos that is my Lego room….which is living proof that you don’t need a plan or much DIY or Lego landscaping ability to just about make a joined up Lego City!

I have run out of space so maybe that’s contributing to the creative impasse! I have a plan to create some more space and build some of the backlog…..let’s see what the next weeks and months bring on the creative front.

Anyone else experienced a mini Lego dark age? Any tips for getting out of it?!

I have been a bit absent from Instagram recently 🙊 so have not following many of your genius creations in the past few weeks.

This is because I have been working at a certain Grand Slam tennis tournament in the UK 🎾 🇬🇧 🍓 driving the players and other guest around. So of course I had to make a Lego representation of it🤓 🚙 💨 ☝️

I am going to take a bit of a break from Lego over the summer. Have a good one everyone! 🌞 🏖️ 🙏🏼

It’s crazy how good Lego was in 1990 / 1991. Literally plastic dreams…which happens to the title of an absolutely 🔥 90s dance track.

With castles, pirates, ships, 9v trains, docks and monorail what more could anyone want?!

I still have lots of sorting to do from the insane job lot / bulk haul I picked up in October 2024…..out of the 17 boxes I have identified a box of Star Wars sets (see my May 4th post for some of the minifigures as they have been sorted separately).

I have started matching minifigures to parts or sets and this is where I have got to so far. Any good ones in there?

It’s going to have to be a winter project to try and complete these sets using mixed bricks sorted by colour from the bulk haul (they are currently buried somewhere at home along with the backlog 🙊 )

Here’s the Bluebrixx locomotive I showed yesterday but this time with some of the excellent Bluebrixx container wagons I bought over the summer. They make a nice combination 😃

Welcoming the Downtown Streetcar from Set 60423 to my Lego City. Here it is photographed in various locations around my Lego City.

I had held off buying this set for a long time as I thought the UK price of £79.99 was a bit steep - so when Amazon recently offered it for 30% off, I bagged a set.

I like the streetcar especially the shape of the front and back carriages; the overall form reminds me a bit of the famous 6399 monorail set (see a couple of the photos for a comparison).

Now to motorise this thing….. 😈 ⚡️
