This week, marked a truly special full circle moment! As we welcomed back one of our former players, who returned to inspire the next generation.

Not so far in the past, she was the only girl playing in a mixed gender team, showing determination, resilience, and a love for the game that would eventually take her to the professional levels. Fast forward to today, and she came back to meet one of our current players who is following a very similar path as the only girl in her team.

What makes this story even more special is that both players were coached by the very same coach. Years apart, but sharing the same journey, the same club, and the same support from the sidelines.

Seeing them together was a powerful reminder that representation matters. For our young player, meeting someone who once stood exactly where she stands now shows that there are no limits to what can be achieved through hard work, dedication, and belief in yourself.

We hope this inspires all of our players to dream big, work hard, and enjoy every step of their football journey.

A huge thank you to @annaprawer for taking the time to return to her childhood club and show our young players what is possible. We can’t wait to see where the next chapter leads for both of these talented footballers. 🌟

Swipe to see Anna back in 2014, p.s you might see a familiar coach too!

🖤🤍 MOMENTS WE LOVE 🤍🖤

Today’s U9 match was everything we stand for 🙌⚽️

With our U8s fixture cancelled late in the week, three U8s stepped up to play up with the U9s — showing skill, confidence and real character 🌟

The match was officiated by one of our U16 girls who has recently passed her course
AND supported by one of our former players, now currently playing in academy football, who came back to help coach our young goalkeeper 🧤

Development. Opportunity. Pathways. Community.
This is Balham FC ⚽️🖤🤍

Yesterday our U9s and U10s proudly wore their poppy kits to honour those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Football is more than a game — it’s about respect, remembrance, and unity. 🌺

“At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.” ❤️
