> A night driven by the true spirit DANZA NUOVA: to play club music beyond limitations, boundaries, preconceived ideas or structures. Just forward-thinking sounds for people open to dancing to them. So simple, but often so hard.

> Thanks, Feena, for having us. It’s such a pleasure to find people whose taste, values and way of thinking are so deeply connected to ours that friendship and bonds transcend borders and countries. Just like we believe they should. We’re family.

Hailing from Gijón via Madrid, the Asturian DJ defines himself through his curiosity and openness to different styles, while maintaining a cohesive story throughout his sets. As a member of the Portal collective, 1/2 of @danza.nuova and resident at @komrad94 , Balheim has honed his style.
Always restless, Balheim blends IDM, dub-infused sounds, and old-school techno, a way to understand DJing that led him to share the booth with artists like Eduardo de la Calle, Reedale Rise, Ceephax Acid Crew, Fasme, and Detroit in Effect.

I (Feena) met @balheim35 one year ago to the date of this club night - when he messaged me about doing a slot on ehfm (the one in these slides above!). He came to dance at mantle, he and his friends stayed from beginning to end bringing the most impeccable vibes and moves the entire night through, and now he returns to Sneaky Petes, this time behind the decks!

Absolutely delighted to host Madrid based duo DANZA NUOVA on 14th of august at mantle 𖦹

Madrid based duo DANZA NUOVA seek to push unusual, forward thinking club sounds in the city through their club night at the revered Specka, or their monthly residency at Komrad radio. Led by local selectors Balheim and La Ind0, their sets often move through bass, dubstep, avant-garde techno and broken rhythms, always seeking deeper sounds on the dancefloor.

This is a particularly special one for many reasons, but more on that later.

[EAUA003] Twoxxo - Fangal

Fangal is the third release on EAUA Records by label owners @twoxxo, inspired by the creatures and microorganisms that live in the coasts of Ría del Eo. Often unseen and also part of a crucial ecosystem needed for the survival of other species.

These systems operate through constant interaction and change. Nothing exists in isolation, and everything depends on subtle exchanges that are rarely visible from above, like humans. Across its four tracks, Fangal references this environment, where interconnected species form a single system in constant motion.

The cover photograph was taken by @balheim35 on 35mm film during a wildfire. There was a special kind of light coming from the fire that got reflected on the photograph: a reminder of the fragility of these environments and the shared responsibility of preserving the people and spaces that surround us.

Ha pasado casi una semana de @dialforest y aún estoy recuperándome y asimilando todo lo vivido allí 🌳

Lo primero: no tengo NI UNA foto del festival, ni de las actuaciones de nadie. Por primera vez en mi vida no he sacado el móvil ni para usarlo como pisapapeles. Eso da una pista de lo bien que lo hemos pasado. 🚀

Gracias a todxs lxs que vinisteis el domingo a bailar bajo el sol al escenario Baixa con mi manín @balheim35 y servidor; a @dontplaywithmafeet; a @rankingsepah y @thenorthpatrol por dejarnos tocar su Soundsystem y ser tan lo más. A @jazzplayazz por los videos y fotos; a @buggin__out por cruzarte in ma life; a @huugen, @vlaarartist, @vjarpore, @estrugen, @donpablo_hdf y toda mi peña, mis put*s hermanxs de León( a @zumezusammen, @irene.lombb, @0skura, @frpinkl, @garrrrita (Fittanals!); a @cris_sinaka; @vouindoo, @___arque y @celiadelcielo; a todx el que me dejo. ❤️
