Bangkok Flower Market
A journey into the past, among flowers and everyday gestures, time seems to slow down.

As Rumi wrote:

Mengwi Market, Bali
The colors caught my eye and, during a short ride, Madedede just met, showed me his mother’s warung and walked me through the other stalls.
A proud woman in her fabric shop, presenting her beautiful display.
A shy, smiling seamstress, while her friend is busy on the phone. Two kids, waiting for their snack, look at me with curiosity.
The curiosity of meeting, without preconceptions or distrust what I love about Bali.
Life flows slowly through the noise of the street, in the genuine eyes of those who welcome you with a smile.

Three generations, one silent rhythm.
In Bugbug village, Bali, they wait for the Rejang dance to begin; daughters, mothers, grandmothers.
Different ages, same presence.
Tradition is not something they follow, it is something they embody.
In their gestures, in their gaze, time layers itself without breaking.

High above the noise, everything becomes essential.
The mountains strip away what is not needed, leaving only breath, silence, and presence.

Here, in the vastness, you meet yourself again.
Tibetan saying:
“The higher you climb, the clearer you see not the world, but yourself.”

Carnival of Gignod The Ritual Beyond Time
The Carnival of Gignod is not simply a village celebration; it is an ancient rite marking the end of winter and the return of light to the Aosta Valley. Walking through its narrow streets, you feel something deeper than a parade. It is a collective gesture, an act of shared memory.
The masks, richly decorated with flowers, ribbons, beads, and small mirrors, move forward in pairs, always dressed in the same color. Red with red, purple with purple, white with white. This symmetry represents balance, unity, and continuity. Each pair becomes part of a greater harmony, as if the whole community were moving with one breath.
The mirrors sewn onto the headdresses catch the sunlight and scatter it through the streets, symbolically bringing clarity and protection, pushing away the shadows of winter. The horse tails, rhythmically shaken, chase away negative spirits. The cowbells break the cold silence, announcing a new cycle.
What truly fascinates is the intergenerational presence, elderly people, adults, and children all take part together. The costumes are passed down through families, carefully preserved, restored, and adapted without losing their essence. Each garment carries memory, identity, and belonging.
This is not a performance for visitors; it is a living tradition. A reminder that even in a fast moving world, continuity still matters.

Banyu Wana Amertha Waterfall
A must see waterfall in Bali.
Hidden in the jungle, flowing calm, pure presence.
Here, time slows and nature speaks.

In that everyday gesture, time slows down and the moment fills with silent beauty, calm, and poetry.

In the village of Asak, Karangasem, this young woman performs the sacred Rejang dance during Kuningan, a ritual that honors the return of ancestral spirits to the divine realm.
Rejang is a moving prayerslow, graceful, and inward meant to maintain harmony between humans, nature, and the unseen world.
Her ornate attire and golden crown embody purity, devotion, and the enduring soul of Balinese tradition.

thank you Bali

Tnx to @antony_capox for help me find it
