This is a song I’m working on called Moss On The North Side. It’s about growth and facing the fact that some of the things your parents do that you always complain about are actually things that you do too.

I’ve been away for a while building wardrobes, making pickles, feeding the ducks and making new friends but I’m back and here to stay.

Last weekend I invited 12 strangers into my living room. We shared songs and thoughts and bonded over our love of processing life through music. We’re no longer strangers. In fact we never were.

It was such a wholesome experience that is hard to put into words so here’s a pixel-load of pictures.

Thank you all for accepting the invitation and sharing your art, special thanks to those of you who performed in front of people for the first time, I feel grateful to have been a part of this once in a lifetime event.

This is my first homework for the @school_of_song songwriting workshop with @adriannelenker

It’s called ‘Tourist Trap’ and it’s about periods in my life when I fell for career dreams that were not mine.

🪟When I was writing it I was thinking about a view through one specific office window at King’s Cross where I spent a lot of time looking at excited fans queuing up for the evening concert at The Scala just across the street while I was going through my emails.

It was a window separating two worlds that I both wanted to be in for different reasons. And then one day about a year ago it started to crack and finally broke (not literally).
