🎸 Planning to perform live in Indonesia? Make sure you have the right visa.

Selling tickets is one thing, but performing professionally in Indonesia comes with specific immigration requirements.

A few things foreign musicians and performers should know:

🎟️ Ticketed Performances
Once tickets are sold, the performance is considered a professional engagement, not just a holiday activity.

🎤 Performer Visa (C7A)
The C7A Visa covers live musical performances in Indonesia.

⚠️ Know the Scope & Limitations
A Performer Visa is not a general work permit. The exact engagement and requirements must be checked before applying.

🤝 Get Professional Assistance
Have your Indonesian promoter coordinate the visa application and make sure everything is properly arranged before you perform.

Don’t let visa issues interrupt your performance. Get the right preparation before you take the stage.

Love the location? Check what you can do with it.

The view, the neighbourhood, the villa next door it’s easy to picture your business in Bali. But before you sign a long-term lease or commit to land, check whether your plans fit the zoning for that exact plot.

Start with the location, your intended business activity, and the approvals your project needs. A neighbouring business is no substitute for checking your own site.

Swipe through for four checks to make before the deal.

📌 Save this for your next property viewing.

25 YEARS ON THE VILLA LEASE.
3 YEARS LEFT ON THE ACCESS AGREEMENT.

The buyer is ready to sign. Aditya checks the road.

The two agreements expire decades apart. His condition: align the access period with the villa lease, bring both owners into the deal, and complete the agreements and required formalities before final payment.

The result: the villa lease and agreed road access cover the same 25-year period.

THE ROAD IS PART OF THE DEAL.

Before you renew your virtual office, take a closer look at the business records behind the address.

Indonesia’s Trade Ministry is preparing rules for virtual offices and shared workspaces. The plans reported on 21 October cover business identities, suitable facilities and operator competency.

The national framework is still a proposal. The report provides no final regulation number or implementation date.

For Bali PT PMA owners, there is a separate context: Bali’s earlier investment scrutiny and reported restrictions on new licensing in specified business classifications.

Before renewal or an address change, review:

• Your provider’s legal identity and service agreement.
• Your company’s address and business-activity records.
• Where the business actually operates.
• Your KBLI, OSS project location and operating-site licences.

These are practical checks not new obligations created by the October proposal.

Save this checklist for your next document review. Need help checking your PT PMA records? DM @balizero0.

Sources and dates are listed in the carousel. Information checked as of 22 October 2026.

The venue looks ready. Is the business? 🏸

Before the first booking, check whether your planned activities match your business classification and licensing requirements.

Indonesia’s sports-business licensing update covers specific activities. Kemenpora’s published transfer list includes nine KBLI codes—with fitness centres under KBLI 93116 outside that list.

Separately, Bali’s July 2026 announcement includes fitness centres among activities restricted for new PMA licence applications. Your project’s application route needs its own check.

Before signing a lease or committing funds, review:

✓ Your actual activities and KBLI
✓ PMA application availability
✓ Required licences, certificates and their status
✓ Location and building-use compliance

Already operating? The transition does not automatically cancel the earlier sports-sector Standard Certificates covered by Article 98. New activities or expansion still need checking.

Save this checklist for your next investment discussion.

📩 Send Bali Zero your business plan and planned activities. We can help map the licensing checks.

Planning to practise in Bali? Make sure you have the right permit. 🇮🇩

A place to practise doesn’t automatically mean you’re permitted to work there.

A recent case reported in Bali involved an Australian osteopath practising at a clinic in Canggu while holding a visitor stay permit. The case highlights an important reminder: your stay permit must match your actual activities in Indonesia.

Before starting any professional activity in Bali, make sure to:
• Understand the purpose of your stay.
• Clearly define your planned activities.
• Check whether your permit allows those activities.

The right preparation can help you avoid immigration issues and protect your plans in Bali.

Need guidance on your stay permit and planned activities? Talk to Bali Zero before you begin.

📩 DM BALIZERO to discuss your needs.

One year in Bali. A job in Shanghai. One contract that changes the answer.

In a busy oceanfront café in Seseh, Lin opens her laptop. Zantara stops the ocean and untangles what Indonesia’s E33G remote worker visa actually allows.

VISA ORACLE — E33G: THE BORROWED SECOND

In this episode:

• An initial stay of one year.
• Proof of annual income of at least USD 60,000.
• An employment agreement with a company established outside Indonesia.
• Why E33G does not cover taking a direct job with an Indonesian company: the appropriate work visa is needed first.

Know what your permit allows.

A polished listing is easy to notice. The business behind it deserves a closer look.

Bali’s broker certification push raises an important question for foreign investors: where does owning a property agency end, and working as a broker begin?

Company licensing, professional certification and your personal working role each need a separate check. One document does not answer all three.

Before building your agency, get clear on the services you will offer, who will deliver them, and the requirements for your proposed location.

Planning up to 6 months in Bali? Don’t fall into the 60-day
Airport Visa trap. 🏛️✨

Welcome to Episode 01 of THE VISA ORACLE — where Zantara
guides you through the 3-Step Indonesian Immigration Decision
Tree before you board your flight.

If your goal is to explore Bali and test island living for
longer than 2 months, here is the exact architecture of the
C1 Tourist e-Visa (formerly B211A):

1️⃣ STAY HORIZON — 180 DAYS TOTAL
• Airport Visa on Arrival (B1 VOA) stops dead at 60 days
(30d + 1× 30d extension) and cannot be converted onshore.
• The C1 Visit e-Visa gives you 60 days on arrival + 2× 60-
day onshore extensions = up to 180 days in Indonesia.

2️⃣ THE 2 GOLDEN IMMIGRATION RULES
• Strictly Single-Entry: the moment you fly out of
Indonesia, your C1 visa expires (frequent flyers should look
at D1/D2 Multiple-Entry).
• Zero Local Income: you can manage foreign remote work
from your laptop, but never accept jobs, clients, or sales by @balizero0

A new supplier can change more than your food costs.
A familiar ingredient may come from a different manufacturer. A seasonal dish may introduce something your kitchen has never used before. A second outlet may follow a different purchasing routine.
For expats running a food business in Bali, these everyday decisions deserve attention alongside rent, staffing and sales. They can affect how confidently your team answers a simple customer question: “Is this halal?”
That answer should be backed by records and consistent practices. Before the next menu launch or supplier change, make time to ask:
• Who checks the supporting documents for new ingredients?
• Who records recipe and supplier changes?
• Who makes sure the kitchen, purchasing team and front-of-house staff are working from the same information?
For a business operated through a PT PMA, start by confirming the requirements that apply to your company and products. Another café’s approach is not evidence that the same route fits yours.
Whether you serve halal or non-halal products, accurate information helps customers make informed choices and helps your team communicate clearly.
