POSTS STORIES REELS

We are deeply saddened at the passing of our volunteer Avril Graham. Avril was our ability officer who advised us on a number of projects most notably the Brusna works and the Sensory Park.
She took great delight in the new wheelchair swing and all the accessible adaptations of both projects.
We recently had her supervising the Brusna wheelchair path and she was delighted with how it turned out. 🌺
Avril was a hero of the Town across several groups. We shall miss her grit, smile and zest for life.
May she rest in peace. 🙏 🐝 by @ballinacommunitycleanup

Moy Canoe Club's 40th Anniversary Celebrations have a new date.

Saturday 14th November.

We will let you know the new schedule in a few days to account for the shorter daylight hours. In the meantime, put the date in your diary and if you can, please share this post in order that we can spread the word that we have regrouped and its all systems go to mark our special anniversary.

Thank you all for your amazing support and we look forward to seeing you celebrate with us either on the Moy or along her beautiful banks from the town centre all the way down to the Quay.

Two weeks and the countdown starts now.

Moy Canoe Club is celebrating its 40th Anniversary this year having been established in 1986.

We will all off load our boats and gear and pre ordered Club gear at St Muredach's Cathedral car park. From there we will travel to The Quay to park our vehicles and get on the shuttle bus back to the Cathedral.

Once boats have been collected and in gear we will make our way across the road where boats can be placed beside the bridge. There will be a short presentation by the Club Chairman Kevin Dodd and following that a Ceremony of Remembrance for deceased members at 2.15pm.

3.00pm we will all take to the water together in one great big colourful flotilla. It will be a sight to see for everyone along the riverbank. We will paddle to the Quay, disembark, put all personal and Club gear away and then head to The Twin Trees Hotel from 5.00pm for an evening of chat, craic, food, slide show and presentations.

If you are a past member and you would like to join us then please do get in touch, whether to paddle or to come and meet up with old friends and family members.

We would love to see any old photos too.

See you on Saturday 17th October

From vision to reality - Ballina Sensory Park is now officially open! 🌈

What a journey it has been watching the Ballina Sensory Park take shape, and we’re delighted to share this reel showcasing the development of this wonderful new inclusive space.

After years of planning, hard work and construction, the project is now complete and was officially opened last Friday by Minister @daracalleary

The park has been created as a welcoming, inclusive and accessible space where children, adults and families can play, explore, discover and enjoy the outdoors together.

A huge thank you again to everyone who helped bring this project to life - from those involved in the planning and development to the contractors, funders, supporters and, most importantly, the local community👏💜

🎥 Take a look back at the journey from construction to completion!

A huge day for Ballina this Friday at 3.30pm as we @flowcommunityproject alongside @ballinacommunitycleanup and Mayo County Council launch the newest addition to what is fast becoming one of the most inclusive communities in the country.

This has been a project spanning over 6 years with countless hours put in by all of the working group and most importantly by incredible volunteers.

We all began this project with the intention of continuing to make Ballina and Mayo as inclusive as possible. Working alongside many groups, organisations and individuals to make this dream a reality.

The Sensory Park will provide individuals of all ages and families the opportunity to play, laugh and connect with their senses, nature, and others.

The people of Ballina have made this happen and now you’re efforts have provided an amenity that will be enjoyed and cherished for generations to come

Up Ballina, and Up Mayo 🟢🔴
