👋 Meet Raegan Chapman! #HumansOfHousing Raegan is a Resident Assistant in Botsford/Swinford Hall. This is her second year working in BSU HRL! Raegan became interested in HRL because she wanted to help her community form connections. She also had the opportunity to become involved with HRL her first-year, as the Public Relations chair for her Hall Council. 👋 Meet Katie Newland! #HumansOfHousing Katie is a Resident Assistant in Kinghorn Hall. This is her fourth year working in BSU HRL! She says her favorite part of working in HRL is the people you get to meet. Being an RA has helped Katie to build connections with so many people that she wouldn't have had the chance to meet otherwise. In Katie's own words, "if I had never become an RA, I am not sure I would have broken out of my shell as much as I have. I got to start each year with my residents and watch them grow individually and as a community. Bingo, safety, and community… what more could you ask for? 🤝 At Red Zone Bingo, hosted by HRL and the Office of Health Promotion, students came together to learn about campus resources, Title IX, sexual assault prevention, all while playing for special prizes! 🪎 This is just one of many ways that HRL and HP work together to keep our hall communities informed and connected. #BSUHRL #BallStateHRL #RedZoneBingo #HealthPromotion #CampusCommunity [Video description: The video opens with a “Red Zone Bingo” title card that floats in. 🎉 Good news, Cardinals! Returner Sign-Up has officially begun! If you currently live on-campus, you can now complete your 27-28 housing contract, select your roommate, and beginning on December 1, you can even choose exactly where you want to live! Keep in mind that availability for studio, single, suite, and triple rooms are limited. The earlier you complete your contract, the higher your chances will be to secure one of these spaces! 👋 Meet Derrek Hojnacki! #HumansOfHousing Derrek is a Resident Assistant in Botsford/Swinford Hall. This is his second year working in BSU HRL! Derrek became involved in HRL because he wanted to give back to the community that made him feel at home when he arrived at Ball State. He was able to feel more connected to campus because of HRL and decided that he wanted to have the same impact on students! In Derrek's own words, "one thing I have learned during my time here with HRL is to be open to new ideas, possibilities, and opportunities that might have not been there before.
