Announcing The December Edition, our final contemporary art installation of 2025.

This winter collection brings together over 100 works — paintings, photography, and textiles from BAMart artists you know and new voices joining the program. The home is transformed once again with fresh placements, perspectives, and pairings.

This is a just taster of works in the show— more to come!

As always, the installation is relaxed, livable, and designed to help you discover art you’ll love with pieces available in a range of sizes and price points.

I had the pleasure of spending last week in Paris with my mother and kids. I managed to sneak in some time to visit a few contemporary galleries.

I enjoyed checking out Anne Griffiths solo show at the MAĀT Gallery. There were so many large scale colorful abstract landscapes. I stopped by the Alzueta Gallery to see their current summer show where gallery artists were asked to create a new work based on Catalan artist, Josep Mompou’s painting, Printemps.

And finally a visit to Galerie Amelie du Chalard. Having worked with the gallery in NYC, I was eager to check out their Paris space. What an architecturally interesting space and a plethora of wonderful works in all mediums on display. I was ready to move in!

We also checked out Bourse de Commerce, including Fujiko Nayaka’s Fog Sculpture, which envelopes the Rotunda and a room dedicated to Sigmar Polke as part of the Clair-Obscur show.

While in the UK for a family party, I managed a quick visit to the Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy. Every year, the work included, the curation, and the hanging always provides inspiration. Plus, it was a chance to hang out with a few dear friends based in the UK.

A quick run to some galleries on a hot Saturday awash in World Cup fans! NYC was buzzing.

Always curious what @amelieduchalard has installed in Soho including works by @eberhard_ross

I also wanted to check out the last day of the group show, Abstract Paintings at Scroll. It confirmed again that I really like abstract paintings as I liked all the works in this show!

Studio visits in DUMBO

Despite the rain and thunderstorms, I spent Monday visiting three artists who are new to me—and to BAM Art.

I had the pleasure of visiting Gabrielle Guthrie, Shannon Carroll, and Sophie Kitching to learn more about their backgrounds, current work, artistic practices, and what’s ahead, while sharing a bit about BAM Art along the way.

Studio visits are one of my favorite parts of what I do. Seeing the work where it’s is created and getting to know the artist behind it always deepens my understanding of the work itself. Every conversation adds another layer of meaning to what ultimately ends up on a collector’s wall.

And a fun surprise—Sophie even has a Larchmont connection through her husband! Thank you so much for having me.

Why has the “home gallery” been such a hit?

It wasn’t my original plan all those years ago, but clients and designers alike have embraced it.

It allows people to visualize all kinds of art—abstract paintings, landscape photography, works on paper, textiles, and sculpture—in a domestic setting such as a living room, dining room, study, or hallway.

It also encourages them to be bolder in their choices and realize they can do unexpected things when acquiring and installing art in their homes.

More importantly, they can see firsthand the difference that unique, high-quality contemporary art makes in a space—transforming it from simply functional to dynamic, engaging, and deeply personal. Video courtesy of @sarahfish__

Art is personal. Look for ways to connect with the art/artists you chose. Stay curious. Besides making your home beautiful, it will be unique and reflect who you are.

Over the past few weeks, I had the pleasure of working with Sarah Fish, a senior at Mamaroneck High School, as a marketing intern at BAMart Advisory.

Sarah helped analyze our competitors, with a particular focus on social media strategy and trends. Her dedication and hard work made a real impact, plus who will I talk to about all things Off Campus! And yes, Michael Taylor’s work is her favorite work of art in the home gallery.

New Work Alert*

We selected an arresting photograph by Dora Somosi to hang above the fireplace in the front hall. The image’s remarkable clarity and subtle diffusion of color invite close study, revealing new details with each viewing.

Curating artwork for specific locations within a home not only showcases the work at its best, but also helps clients envision how art can enhance their own spaces. I often hear clients say, “I have a fireplace just like that—I can see how photography could work in my home.”

Location is everything.
