Still glowing from this one.

A few more moments from Sacred Cycles by @amit_hai_cohen at @prattpullmandistrict. Some art stays with you long after you leave the room, and this past weekend did exactly that.

October 7.

Today we pause to remember.

We hold in our hearts the lives lost, including the young people at the music festival who came together simply to dance and share music. We think of their families, and everyone still healing.

As an arts community, we honor them.

May their memory be a blessing. 🕯️

Honoring Juneteenth Through Action and Understanding ❤️💚💛
Freedom is a story carried across generations - one shaped by resilience, courage, and the continued pursuit of justice.

This Juneteenth, BAMAH invites our community to reflect on the power of history and the responsibility we share in learning from the experiences of others. By engaging with stories, traditions, and perspectives beyond our own, we create opportunities for deeper understanding and meaningful connection.

BAMAH works to build bridges across cultures and communities, fostering empathy, encouraging dialogue, and inspiring action through shared learning.

Today, we honor the legacy of Juneteenth by continuing to ask: How can we better understand one another, share important histories, and contribute to a more connected future?

Happy Juneteenth from BAMAH. ❤️💚💛

Juneteenth is coming. ❤️💚💛

A time to honor freedom, celebrate resilience, and reflect on the stories that have shaped generations.

Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, a day that marked the announcement of freedom for enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. It is a reminder of both the enduring strength of Black communities and the continued work toward a more just and equitable future.

At BAMAH, we believe that history is not only something we remember, it is something we engage with. Through the arts, education, and cross-cultural connection, we create spaces where communities can learn from one another, share stories, and build empathy across difference.

This Juneteenth, we celebrate the power of heritage, resilience, and collective action.
