Music practice tip 01: tasks not minutes. In a study of 2,131 music exam students, the ones who failed practised more each week (233 minutes) than the ones who passed (177). (Hallam et al., University College London.) Try this: 1. Write down what you'll work on, not how long. 2. Tick the task when it's done. 3. Log the tempo you reached. The Bandroom Press practice journals are built around tips like this one: you log tasks and tempos, not minutes. They're in the Bandroom Press Etsy shop, link in bio. Save this for your next practice. #musicpractice #practicetips #musicteacher #musiceducation #learnguitar by @bandroompress
