Learned about this "June Gloom" business this year and it's just not letting up. Who knew LA could be this goth? It matched the gloomy vibe of my piano loop so here's a little song seedling I planted 🤷🏽‍♀️ Let's see if it sprouts later! 🌱

From the shower to the studio. 🚿 🎵 All it took was this VERY rough-sounding shower voice memo - complete with shower sounds and my scratchy, unused voice - and @feb9media knew exactly what I was hearing. That upright bass is just magical! We cut the rough demo at @ivervinestudios and now we have a new idea started that I can't wait to keep building out! #songwriter #indieartist #recordingartist #latina #music #noho @pirateofficial #pirateresidency by @banshiirose

If it seems like all I've done since I've been here is make music and hike, you're not wrong. 😆 🧡 🏔 🐻 Photos by @feb9media

As creatives, this space we choose to exist in is a vulnerable one. For me it has been a practice in faith and an ongoing boxing match with my own fears. But we come together, whether we’re meeting for the 1st time or the thousandth time, ready to share in that vulnerability, ready to take chances, no matter how scary or challenging it may be because it’s so worth it. We take the intangible and turn it into something you can see, feel and hear on command. With every writing and recording session, we spin straw into gold; perspectives, flaws, raw emotions, and innermost thoughts become a melody, a rhythm, lyrics and a story. Grateful to be on this path, grateful for the growth and appreciating all the artists, musicians and creatives I’ve met and will meet along the way.

Shouts to @krunkadelic for welcoming me and so many others into his space week after week.

The tabebuia trees are back in bloom, just like they were a year ago when I first arrived. LA is gorgeous! 🌸 #noho #losangeles #tabebuia by @banshiirose

In 2021, I put in more hours collaborating, songwriting, & recording than any other year. This is exactly what I moved here to do! Grateful for every new artist, songwriter & producer I’ve worked with thus far; excited to keep building in 2022. In Miami this all felt like a pipe dream; LA has activated me & made this a reality.
