Romans 4:10

You may be in a season where you feel like you are being tested. Maybe you are wondering if you are doing enough, believing enough, or changing fast enough. You may feel the pressure to prove that your faith is legitimate by showing outward results. This verse offers relief. God’s grace met you before you had anything to show for it. His acceptance is not contingent on your performance timeline.
Faith is not about arriving at a certain spiritual maturity before God will count you as His. It is about trusting Him right where you are. Abraham did not have a completed story when God called him righteous. He had belief. He had trust. He had a willingness to take God at His word even when the path was unclear.
This does not mean obedience does not matter. It means obedience flows from acceptance, not toward it. You do not serve God to become His child. You serve because you already are. You do not strive to earn righteousness. You walk in the righteousness He has already given through faith in Christ.
When trials come and you feel spiritually inadequate, remember this: God is not waiting for you to measure up. He is inviting you to trust Him. That trust, placed in His character and His promises, is what He honors. It always has been. by @bar6312
