Trying the viral Chinese “beauty tea” ✨🫖
Snow fungus, red dates, goji berries & ginger 🍄‍🟫❤️
Simmered low and slow for that silky goodness.

Will I wake up 10 years younger? Probably not. 😂 But we’re drinking it anyway.

🍂💅🏼 WHAT COLOR ARE YOU PICKING?!

I swear choosing the color takes longer than the actual manicure 😂 Which one would you choose? Drop the NUMBER in the comments 👇🏼

I’m feeling the deep reds and warm browns for fall… but I can’t decide. 😭🍁

Happy National Hispanic Heritage Month. 🤎

This year, I wanted to do more than simply celebrate where I come from—I wanted to learn who I come from.

Meet my great-great-grandmother, Conferina Lucero Gonzales (1882–1926). Her family had already been rooted in New Mexico for generations before she was born, living through a history in which borders, governments, and identities changed around them.

The deeper I go into my family tree, the more I realize how much history gets hidden behind a surname. I’m learning to look beyond labels and trace the actual people, places, records, and stories that made their way through the generations to me.

More than a century separates Conferina and me, so I used a little CapCut magic to imagine something that could never have happened: meeting her. 🥹

There is still so much about her—and the generations before her—that I want to discover.

De ella vengo. Su historia vive en mí.
I come from her. Her story lives in me.

🇺🇸🇲🇽✨ Nuestra historia vive.

Raíces fuertes. Sueños grandes. 🌹✨

Hispanic Heritage Month is a celebration of where we come from, what we carry with us, and everything we continue to become.

Proud of my Hispanic roots. Proud of the cultura, familia, fuerza, belleza, pasión and resilience woven through generations. ❤️

And to all my Chulas, Guapas, Princesas y Reinas — este mes también es nuestro. 👑🌹

Nuestra gente. Nuestra historia. Nuestra fuerza. Nuestro futuro.

Since I’m officially grounded from work until I recover… I am now accepting donations to the Mani/Pedi Recovery Fund. 💅🏼😂🫶🏻

Healing is hard enough. My nails shouldn’t have to suffer too. 😭💅🏼

💸 Venmo: @Sand-Luxe

Every donation goes directly toward restoring these neglected hands and toes to their former glory. 😂

Sponsor a nail. Save a toe. Support the recovery. 😂😭💅🏼

We didn’t go back in time… we just look like we belong there. 😂📼💗 Neon nights, big hair & questionable fashion choices. The 80s would’ve been trouble with us. 😎✨

Post-op, properly medicated, and apparently still the main character 😂💊✨

Surgery went well — now it’s rest, recovery, and letting my body do its thing. One day at a time. 🤍

On a serious note, surgery went incredibly well. ❤️‍🩹

I cannot say enough good things about the La Jolla VA and the surgical staff here. The care, coordination, and compassion I received were absolutely phenomenal.

Three different departments were able to coordinate my procedures so everything could be done during ONE surgery. That means I only had to go under anesthesia once, recover once, and take one 6-week period away from work. That kind of coordination means so much to me, and I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who made it happen.

A huge shoutout and thank you to Dr. Leila, Dr. Campos, and Dr. Suliman, along with all of the nurses, anesthesiology staff, techs, and everyone else who took care of me. 🥹❤️

The La Jolla VA really came through for me. I genuinely love the surgical teams here. 🇺🇸❤️‍🩹

And yes…filtered post-op me was clearly enjoying the pain medication when this reel was made. 😂💊 taken in VA San Diego Healthcare System by @baradaaudrey
