Will was a role model to many, but he was the biggest one to me. It’s hard to wrap my head around the fact that there won’t be another time we get to laugh together. Because that’s what I loved doing the most with you. There was never a dull moment with you. And in every man that I will look for in life I will think of the amazing brother who has set my expectations high. I love you so much Will and I will continue to make you proud. Happy 23rd birthday to my best friend! I know you’re blasting “Birthday” by Migos in heaven.

For those who didn’t know Will, he is the best role model I’ve ever had. He’s in every part of who I am today. The path I’m on today was paved by him. He is the funniest guy I’ve ever known, and he had a way of lighting up every room he walked into. He also had the best taste in music, we spent every drive just blasting songs in the Jeep together.

I could go on forever about all the things I love about you, but most of all, thank you for inspiring me. You helped me find my purpose, to serve those who can’t.

“Do what you say and say what you mean.” When I told you I was filling out my package for the NROTC scholarship, I promised myself I’d see it through. It would’ve been easy to give up after you passed, but instead I made it my mission to earn it in your honor.

Every PFT, workout, and run reminds me of you. I push myself because of you. You always gave everything you had, and you taught me to do the same. You set the bar high for yourself and everyone around you, and you’re the kind of leader I hope to someday become.

The summer before you passed is one I’ll cherish forever. We spent almost every night binging Squid Games, watching movies, laughing at CaseOh videos, getting hella Wingstop, and having deep conversations about what we wanted out of our life. I loved every second I got to spend with you. And when you would be away at college I was always waiting for you to come back. You were just so effortlessly cool, and being in your presence made every day of mine better. That’s how much I look up to you.
Thank you for being the best big brother I could’ve ever asked for. I’ll continue to do everything in your honor.

I still jam out in your Jeep every day to the music you introduced me to. I would add all the songs you would play to my playlist secretly because I didn’t wanna glaze, but i’m so glad I did.
