Boats, e-scooters, and horses w/ tubas. The Vasa Museum. (Vasa sank on 10 August 1628 in Stockholm harbor on her maiden voyage, after sailing roughly 1,300 meters, and then was forgotten and lay preserved on the seabed for 333 years.) … and missing Micke ❤️.

I love you and I’m with you. Thank you, darling Clairebear, for bringing so much Love Light and Laughter into my life. Bermuda girls forever. ❤️

“Our beloved mother, and wife, Claire Louise van Kampen, has passed away peacefully this morning, Saturday the 18th of January at 11:47, in the ancient town of Kassel Germany, surrounded by her family. Concert Pianist, Composer, Musical Director, Theatre Director, Playwright, Mentor and Friend. And one of the funniest, and most inspiring women we have ever known. Claire has died of cancer on Mark’s 65th Birthday.

We thank her for imbuing our lives with her magic, music, laugher, and love. Ring the bell, sound the trumpets reverie, something is done, something is beginning. One of the great wise ones has passed.

It felt important to go to Ellis Island this week. As a first generation immigrant, I’m always humbled by this gateway to America: 12 million dreams arrived here between 1892 to 1954 to shape the modern American identity.

In August 2014, French artist JR worked on the dilapidated South side of the island, where the Immigrant Hospital has been abandoned since 1954.

Very special to be allowed into the forgotten buildings and experience his “Unframed Ellis Island” project up close. So powerful to encounter the faces of the ghosts amidst the decay. His artwork, as ever, profound and humanizing. Thank you @jr

Such an inspiring week in Stratford-upon-Avon, where Juliet gave a magical performance as Desdemona opposite John Douglas Thompson at the Royal Shakespeare Company. The Willow Song has never been more heart-breaking. Wonderful to explore the theatre with @michael_wurzel!! Shall never forget our mystical visit of The Rollright Stones (with a diameter of 30 meters!). Best time with @tim_leigh … giddy about adventures to come. Yes, Paul and I shall start working on the menu for our mobile Actor’s Bar asap! Also: #swanenvy 🦢 Finally, “Othello” is playing at RSC until November 23rd.
